The distributor performs exceptionally well Solid state ignition kit from Pertronix Ignitor adds a lot to this. Works just as well with the standard contact points as well. The MSD rotor recommended is the correct one. One of the best features is the retainer cap. The wires need to have a "nub" fitting that fits in the retainer cap holes, so make sure you purchase those with that fitting. There are wires from MSG and Taylor available in this class. After several days of regular engine vibrations making my stock/OEM wires loose, I decided to upgrade. The cap is a great performance addition or an upgrade from the stock/OEM cap.
