There is no better way to put it. It is unclear to me why these are not marketed with their rotors. The caps and the motor are both made of brass, but I had to find a motor that wasn't even connected to the cap. THE IDLE AND PERFORMANCE of my machine considerably improved. There can only be one on the four that you want. This motor is a VORTEC with the stupid distributor design that results in crossfire. In place of silicone glue, I apply it with a very light brush at the point where the distributor meets it to help prevent moisture accumulating.

It was a good cap, but the screws were cheap. Due to losing one of the original screws, I bought these hoping they would be of better quality. An old screw broke off and I had to remove the distributor and remove it with a drill. This is totally my fault. Be careful when tightening the screws. Your hands should not be sore afterwards. Original files should be used. The screws on the hold down system are soft, so the score is 4.

The price is great, and the cap is high quality and has brass inserts compared to the aluminum caps used by A/C Delco etc. These last longer, but are priced the same or less.

During my test drive I had a rough idle and misfire. After getting my Duralast cap from Autozone, it was found to be the cause. After inspection, it was found to be poorly made. I got MUCH better quality for this Accel cap than for the Duralast. It also helped my misfire and idle on my vehicle. If you are having problems with your car, don't settle for cheap crap.

We originally had a 98 Chevy 4 and it worked well. There are three different kinds of Blazers. With brass pins, this piece is well-built and of good quality. This solution resolved my starting problem caused by the ACDelco distributor cap with aluminum pins failing with badly burned pins and causing the engine to arch. You can use the old screws to mount the ACCEL cap, which includes a course threaded screw for some reason, right?.

The distributor cap I ordered was not even an Accel cap it looked like a used distributor cap with a date of 2012 on it no screws, boxes or bix it was older and faded. Charged 49 for a used cap that was under 20 what a scam.
