Rather than what I expected, these GM gaskets aren't what I expected. As per everything I read, these gaskets should have been made with 5 layers or 7 layers rather than only 3 layers, but they're a decent deal compared to other gaskets.
According to the parts database, part number 4 is compatible with this number. The number 8 and number 5 are both important. It actually has five bores, although it appears as though there are three. The gasket you have now has a 7 bore, which while it does work, it of course provides less sealing surface compared to finding an aftermarket gasket with.
The head gaskets are excellent. Quality as good as OEM. The answer is yes. My 2002 Silverado had this in it. I filmed and photographed The Nitrogen gas.
The GM MLS LS gasket is well known for its ability to withstand heavy pressures. I don't know, my car simply has stock power levels, for this purpose only The gaskets on this car are sure to last much longer than the rest of it. What is the point of taking a risk? This gasket is what you need.
LS kits come with this gasket as the only gasket I use. This is really good.
On my fifth, I worked on it.
The replacement gasket is great although I wish they were available in a pack of 1. It's still affordable however.
