It lasted 15 months before the plug popped out and the fluid drained out. In terms of what it is, it's excellent. Tested against two other gauges and reads the same. This is all accompanied by a new fuel pump and a new fuel pressure regulator. Another positive point is that the nipples on the back of this gauge are brass, as opposed to the plating on some of the other cheap gauges. I strongly suggest not using Teflon tape on wet gauges. Analog gauges should also be kept out of the engine bay. The test is the only thing we do.
Does the job and does it well. This pressure regulator works well in conjunction with a Perrin Fuel pressure regulator. This is an accurate measurement to within Psi is the value of my application. We would appreciate it if it were pre-approved You will need to provide your own teflon tape because it is not wrapped with it. There was a black rubber part at the top of the gauge. I was curious what it was for. Leaving this in place will prevent the oil from leakage inside the gauge. DO NOT touch it and leave it alone.
Turbosmart part of high quality. Only thing to note is the little pin that comes out at the top of the gauge when you install it (there to let out the pressure that might build up in the gauge due to the heat). Be careful when you install not to knock out and lose As soon as I had it installed, I used tap over might.
A year after I put it on my car, it leaked all over the place and the cap had fallen off. Now, the needle bounces all over the place, making it difficult for you to see the fuel pressure.
I am very impressed with it it doesn't seem to be made with the same threads as my turbosmart FPR. As far as I can tell, my FPR is an older model.
It works beautifully. As of yet, no leaks have occurred.
It is a++++++++++++++.
