This kick is intended to be used on a push style rid kick - This way. There has to be another piece for a C4 transmission, as I have not been able to get it to work. To change the C4 to the pulley cable style, I'm just going to order the Lokarr conversion kit
The kit is installed on a 1987 Ford F150 with a 351w engine and a C6 automatic transmission. I have both a Lokar throttle cable as well as the kickdown rod
In all respects, yes.
If it worked on my 1985 F250, I expect it will work for you as well. An auto with throttle cable and a kickdown rod for the transmission is a 0 H/O automatic

At first glance, it seems almost doable. The carburetor sits too low, too far to the front, and too far to the side. Most of the time, I'll turn it off and manually adjust the gearing when necessary. This product gets 5 stars thanks to the build quality and the fact that it would likely work for pay-per-view. Since I cut off the bottom of the hole to clear what was left of the heat riser, I cannot return.
Defining quality as one of the highest priorities is not hard at all with Edelbrock. I installed this linkage kit straight forwardly and it worked perfectly with their 1411 carburetor. Taking the carb off my 460 raised the mileage from 11 to a solid 14 with the motorcraft, and if I tune it I could possibly get 15 mpg, maybe. There are so many parts I love from Edelbrock!.
I used the Kickdown lever extension with the adapter and it was perfect for my c4 transmission. It still needed an E-clip to seal the inlet tube and one bolt was too long (1977 F100, 1406 Edelbrock). I've updated the article (08/15/2016) I could never get it to work properly, although it connected great. Changing to a Lokar cable has worked great so far.
It is easy Thanks so much.
I like the way it works, it does what it is supposed to do, but there isn't enough spring tension to pull the throttle back into place. Those were much more expensive and had adjustable spring rates and a built in throttle cable bracket, so I ultimately went with that.
It is a little lacking in instructions, but it just about.
