My old Ford 302 OMC is on the way to me. This is a 2 barrel carburetor from Holly. The pump looks like a good choice, but how does it perform?

The risk of overkill is probably too great. The Red marine pump would probably be a better choice. Most definitely want the regulator to be turned down to 5 bars. You will lose 6lbs if you choose the blue.

There are 4 parts to my Holley 2300 2bbl engine The fuel pump I have is 9 psi. Is that a lot of gph for my application?

The answer is yes if the engine is carbureted. Engines that are fuel injected do not use carburetors. Older engines used carburetors, while the latter are fuel injections.

What are the chances this pump will also be CG approved like it's little brother? Does this pump (the Holley 7# pump) work?

I am not certain 100 percent but it seems to be the case. Because it is a marine fuel pump, I would expect it to.

There are leaks

A fuel leak appeared right out of the gate with this thing. For our application, we ended up using a used fuel pump that we found in a crate.
