I'm not sure why you can't do that. Mike - We've previously shipped to California.br> SK Speed.
For your 4779, the right carburetor kit is available. The second is the same Holley HOL 37- Carburetor Renew Kit (485)
That should be a Holley 4150, so this kit should work for you.
No, the 4609 is a vacuum secondary with an electric choke carb that produces 735cfm. br>This kit is for a Double Pumper Mechanical Secondary with manual choke and a flow range of 650 to 750 cfm. You might get away with this kit if you don't mind rebuilding the diaphragm in the secondaries and the choke, but I wouldn't risk it. They make 4609 kits, I'm not sure if they're on Amazon or not, but Summit Racing and Jegs make them. They're definitely available on com! I wish you luck.
Selected User Reviews For Holley HOL 37-485 Carburetor Renew Kit
With the exception of the two fuel inlet filters, this kit included everything I needed to replace my Holley 4150 750 CFM Carburetor. However, I believe the instructions and exploded diagram are essentially useless. To begin with, the print quality is so poor and the print area is so small that identifying the parts and determining their part numbers is nearly impossible. Second - Follow the numbers in the diagram to disassemble the carburetor, according to the instructions. Please accept my sincere apologies, but Holley has a lot of room for improvement. I'm new to carburetor rebuilding, and while it wasn't particularly difficult, I believe Holley could do a better job with some detailed, step-by-step printed instructions, as well as making the diagrams and font large enough to be easily legible. There are a lot of diaphragms and power valves, but there's no way of knowing which one is right for my application. In addition, when I disassembled my secondary metering block, I discovered that there was no power valve on that side, only a plug that looked like a power valve, which I cleaned and reinstalled. There is no mention of this item, and an explanation of how it works, or why one isn't used on the secondary side, or an instruction telling the user to either reinstall the plug or install a power valve would have been extremely helpful. I despise making educated guesses, so instead of reinstalling the plug, I almost installed a power valve on the secondary side. Removing, disassembling, cleaning (the most tedious and detailed part of the job), reassembling, and reinstalling the carburetor took me a little over 3 hours. Because there are no replacement filters (bronze metal cylinders) for the fuel inlets, I am unable to start the car or make any adjustments. I guess I'll have to look for those somewhere else. I'll update my review and results once the new inlet filters are in place. br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I replaced two bronze fuel inlet filters, adjusted the idle mixture screws for the highest vacuum, set the float levels, and hooked up a vacuum gauge. Then I drove it around for a while (wouldn't you?). The driveability has vastly improved, as has the overall performance and response. The idle of the engine has also improved significantly. I'm happy with the outcome.
Only one large accelerator pump was included in this kit, which included two smaller ones. Two bigger pumps power my carburetor. It also had three power valves, as it should, but two of them are the same size instead of the third, and the one I require is the one that is missing. Ordinarily, I'd assume this was normal, but this is the same kit I've purchased before, and it previously contained everything I required. I'm not sure what went wrong here, but something in the box got mixed up. The rest of the gear worked fine.
Overall, I found the kit's parts to be of good quality, and after removing the original gaskets, I found the non-original gaskets to be of good quality as well. Stick gaskets were a pleasant surprise. The ambiguous literature of Holley, however, prevents this from being a five-star review. The kit is referred to by one name on the Holley website, another name on Amazon, and yet another name on the box. In addition, the kit's documents were extremely limited, with no references to part names, locations, or numbers. The smaller parts were all bagged together, necessitating the removal of the old parts, matching and noting them against the new parts for proper reassembly, which is not a problem for a professional but could be intimidating for the average consumer. Despite these flaws, I recommend this kit because it includes all of the "wear parts" you'll need to restore your carb to new condition, which is the most important part.
When I was younger, I recall the holley kits having a lot more in them. My double pumper, on the other hand, was fixed. For the time being, it suffices until I can afford efi.
Nice product, but delivery was a pain. Not only did I have to drive to a UPS location to pick it up because delivery requires a signature, but it would have been just as easy and less expensive to go to an auto parts store and buy it.
When it comes to cleaning the inside of your Holley carburetor, there's no better place to go than Holley for the necessary kits and replacement parts. Their gaskets outperform many others on the market.
I'm not sure how else to put it. First and foremost, this is not the kit for you if you require rubber gaskets for the bowls or the carb base. Because I was replacing rubber gaskets, I had a hard time wanting to use this kit. Aside from that, everything is fine. It's a Holley kit in every sense of the word. It's not a rip-off.
As with any Holley kit, it's a Holley rebuild with good parts and a few extras. If I need to do this on my twin-engine boat again, I will purchase again.
