It's not going to happen, in my opinion. That is the location of the fuel intake port.

Is this an inverted flare inlet measuring 3/8" in diameter?

Yes - A 3/8" O is accepted on the female side. SAE 45 degree inverted flare fitting on a tube This fitting uses a 5/8"-thread size.

Is the male thread on Edelbrock's 1411 carburetor correct?

The Edelbrock AVS and, I believe, the AFB come with a fuel fitting with a nipple type end for a rubber line and hose clamp

For my build, I needed a fuel fitting so I could run a 3/8" NPT steel line. That's exactly what we require.

You'll get exactly what you see here: a good-quality brass part that's been manufactured to the manufacturer's specifications. However, if you combine this with a 3/8" line and an inverse flare fitting, you won't be able to clear a drop-in. air purifier for the foundation Because an Eddy carb requires an external filter, I recommend replacing this part with an AN fitting instead.
