There are no problems with the carburetor. You just need to attach the fuel line and the vacuum line to it, and it will work. Several online shops provided me with this product, so I decided to purchase it from Amazon. I found a place with a slightly lower price but no stock, so I would have to wait a few days longer to get it. I initially chose Amazon because it was in stock, and it seemed like it would get to me faster than the other retailers. During checkout, I simply chose free standard shipping, so it should get to me faster than the other stores. The account went out directly with Fed Ex smart shipping, according to the information that Amazon sent me. Because of the fact that it was shipped from Phoenix and I live in northern Utah, it took just as long to arrive as if I had bought it from the other retailers. The fact that I didn't pay extra for fast shipping makes me feel like Amazon is playing games with me. The package took more than 5 days to arrive from Phoenix. The U. S. Postal Service even takes no more than a week. The item could have been bought elsewhere and I could have saved some money.
1999 Nautique One of the first ones I ordered arrived with a bent lever and damage. Return was easy, nothing to worry about. It arrived on the same day I returned the first, and I couldn't have been happier. Installation was easy as well. There is a PCM Ford 351 Windsor in my 1999 Sport Nautique. By simply removing the old one and installing the new one, I was able to repair the problem. It is as easy as pie. All the bolts were tightened, I hit the ignition, and she started right up and started running perfectly. Savings from avoiding the Marina probably amount to over a thousand dollars. We appreciate everything you do for us.
It runs like new. Although I had been working on the old carb for several weeks, it would not get right despite taking it apart, installing new gaskets, etc. I replaced it with a new model of the same As for the idle mixture screws, I did not need to adjust them because the engine ran like new after it was hooked up. I did adjust the curb idle speed, but did not adjust This is a very smooth program. We should have taken care of this a long time A manifold with four separate holes instead of one big one would be better for me. In contrast to the four separate openings of the gasket that comes with a carburetor, this one only had one slot. As long as it was in good condition, I used the gasket that I already had. The construction is excellent.
It was a simple direct replacement and worked perfectly without requiring any adjustments. The boat starts right up on the first crank and runs smoothly throughout the range of rpm. The old holley was dumping gas and running very rich, so it seems like we are using less fuel as a result.
Previously, I had a 351w that ran perfectly well with my old Holley 4010 except the accelerator pump was failing. When I put this carburetor on, I had to screw all the mixture screws all the way in before it would idle. I still think the price is way too high at this point. I contacted Holley's customer service department and they were not able to assist me. Due to my lack of Edelbrock, I had to put my old 4010 back on. Almost $600 has been.
During testing, we discovered the gaskets in the fuel bowl of the carburetor were rotten. Replacing the gaskets was done by the company. There was a clog in the carburetor gaskets, which needed to be disassembled and cleaned.
I was able to fire it up right away as soon as I plugged it in. Adding a bit of idle adjustment was all that was needed. All summer long, the product worked well. A 351 Windsor engine was installed on an 87 Mastercraft in conjunction with this carburetor. Everything was plugged in and bolted up. The gaskets were in place. There was never a time when my boat ran this smoothly. CARB IS GREAT! A RECENT UPDATE! 2 years have passed since I installed this and I have never had a problem with it! There has been no need to make any adjustments and my boat always starts when I turn it on.
The system works well however, a plug blew out of the fuel inlet float bowl after the fuel was pumped in, as it was never stacked. All is well now that I fixed it myself.
