The way you synch carbs on 4 stroke outboards is different from the way you sync carbs on 2 stroke outboards.

I think it should be possible. You are trying to measure the vacuum at each cylinder inlet and balance the cylinders to the engine specs. A good idea would be to connect six lines to each individual manifold. In order to adjust an individual butterfly valve, a pitch adjustment can easily be made at the same time as the tune. It would be possible to use only 3 of the 4 lines to the manometer and adjust / balance on one cylinder bank if there is only one butterfly valve per carb supplying fuel/air to each cylinder. The following information is important I measured a 4 cylinder GSX motorcycle engine that had 20mm differences in measurements for the outer cylinders as specified by Suzuki, so none of the measurements were

Along with this, I have also tried to resolve it as best I can. However, none of it worked, since I still suffered from the symptoms discussed above. Be sure to read all the instructions carefully, as you have to cut (with a sharp knife or razor) before you can create There are some steps you need to follow before you can install the tubes, but it's almost plug and play once you've cut the tubes to the needed lengths and have assembled them. After that, my throttle bodies were no longer in sync, and the results were drastic. Now that I have a smoother idle, the engine doesn't sound as though it has big cams, and the power delivery is buttery smooth when I let go. In addition to this sum of money, do this job once or twice and it will have already paid for itself since you won't be paying your dealer, or stealership, as my friends like to call it, for their exorbitant pricing on all Here are some pictures just to show you how much they were off and how they were attached to my 3-foot pole This cylinder has the FZ-cylinder number In view of the fact that it is a 3-in-1 The part you have to cut up as described before), but I left it disconnected.
Just do it. The Motionpro tool and this one were on the fence for me. If you pulled out your tool to use it, you found you had to buy a special juice for it, I was not a fan of the idea. In the event that they don't make the special juice anymore, what would happen? It's great to meet this guy. This tool is easy to install, it comes with instructions that are simple and clear, and it is a great tool. recently bought a Suzuki GS 1100 E, and was experiencing flat spots at idle, pops, and the usual unsynced carb problems. Though there is still a lot of work needed on the bike, the reading is pretty good, considering how much better it runs than before. If the valves and carbs are adjusted and jetted properly, then I can do all of it myself, making it more convenient. The bearded bike wizard is reputed to be able to sync carbs, but actually it's just one of those magic mystery things. It is simply a matter of readjusting the throttle plates to draw an equal amount of vacuum through each one. Tool is very responsive and accurate, does not require any calibration, comes with all the needed components, and has a nice case to keep all the pieces organized. It is also possible to sync carbs if you have 30 minutes to spare.
Don't waste your time or money on anything else. Syncing with this tool is BY FAR the best I've ever experienced. Once upon a time I had a old set of mercury sticks before I pulled it out two weeks ago and found all the glass tubes broken. Using an electronic synchronizer and LED lights, I've tried several configurations. All of them fall short of this. As long as you don't hold your breath while blipping the throttle, there's no toxic mercury or other liquids to fill it with and get sucked into the engine. This product does not rely on electricity to work like an electronic synchronizer. The most important difference is that you don't have to calibrate anything like the liquid based ones or all of the electronic tools. You can even see the individual cylinder vacuum levels as you adjust An LED indicates if the cylinders are close to each other, either in the range of 0 or one of the other numbers. At maximum sensitivity, the probe can detect blood pressure of up to 5 cmHg. It allows you to make sure they are perfectly matched with each other. As for the size, it's a lot smaller than any liquid-based synchronizer. It took almost 3 feet for my old mercury sticks to reach the ground. There's nothing even close to a foot to this tool. There is no risk that the liquid will leak from it no matter how you store There is a protective storage case included with this device. I think this is a really cool We are sure you will enjoy one if you try.
I think this is an instrument that is very refined, sophisticated, and works very Though the case is heavy plastic, the tubes have precision metal blocks for indicating flow direction. During the period of jumping around in the bubble, there is no sort of sort of interpreting
cylinders, it is very When considering how much it would cost to bring the bike to a dealer and have it synced, along with the hassle of getting there and then getting a ride home and waiting for them to do it, it did not make sense to do The only downside is that you only use it once in a great, great while.
This was so much better! YAMAHA FJR 1300 is the bike.
For the tool to be used, there are a few steps you need to take. You just need to follow the instructions to get it up and running. It's easy to set up and works great once you have it all set up! It is the last time I will ever send my throttle bodies to a shop for synchronization. Rather than spend several hours repairing my 2014 Yamaha FZ-07 last time, I spent about two hours ($180) doing it myself. It was much easier than I expected, and now I have much more fun riding my new bike. It is running as smoothly as ever in 2009. A very noticeable difference is made!.
I think this tool is quite well designed. with both a two and four cylinder bike and found it to be quick and easy to balance all of the carbs. Hook-up instructions were clear, and instructions were easy to understand I was able to get up without any trouble. As long as I remember to do it every year, I'll probably tweak the carbs at the first oil change since it's In comparison with mercury tube balancers, a pouch system is much better because once you are done using it, you can just put it all back in the pouch and store it wherever you like without worrying about mercury escaping. I highly recommend it, it's an excellent piece.
The one you should buy is this one. I've used cheaper, liquid-filled tools in the past and can tell you this was a real pleasure to work with and was worth the slightly higher price tag. This was easy to set up for use and the steel tubes didn't bounce around much like cheaper tools do.
If you are searching for a carb sync tool that will do a good job the first time, every time you want to use it, and you don't want to have to buy refill liquid, you should buy this. It's also a good idea to get the carrying case. Makes sure everything is stored in the right place.
Although quite pricey, this device is very accurate, easy to install, and no cleanup is necessary. If you don't want the needles to jump violently around during tuning, ensure that you install the restrictors into the tubing!.
