The housing for the oil drain holes is slightly warped, and one of the holes is significantly larger than it should be. The barcode on the box is covered by a sticker, which is the same sticker that was used on the fake ones in previous reviews that showed the Made in China. In any case, the item was returned, and I will purchase from a reputable dealer in the future. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: Since then, photos have been uploaded showing one hole that is larger than the others. It's most likely genuine.
I ordered two of these filters for my commercial zero turn, which is powered by a Kawasaki FX 600v, and they arrived in the Kawasaki box, complete with the sticker on the filter. My original engine factory filter, on the other hand, had no sticker but did have Kawasaki and 49065- stamped on it. 7007 The sticker on the filter says USA made and Kawasaki, and it came in a Kawasaki box, so I assume it's an OEM filter. I'm not concerned because it appears to be an OEM filter, but I do know that the OEM filter has a 25/30 micron filter media, so anything less isn't filtering the oil to factory specs, and I would do exactly what some others have done and return it if I had received anything else. This is a common small engine filter, and you can find genuine Kawasaki OEM filters for even less money online if you do your homework. br>br>Shortly after making this purchase, I found an online professional commercial mower and engine supplier for my blades, belts, and everything else related to my mower, who only sells OEM or else it is stated on the website that this part, filter, or whatever the item is not OEM, and if it isn't even their OEM replacement items are of acceptable or equivalent quality and at a significantly reduced price, so I just ordered a mulch kit and replacement blades and specified OEM. They checked and confirmed that they only sell OEM for the parts I ordered, assuring me that the items I would receive would be genuine OEM factory parts, so I placed an order with them and received their genuine OEM Kawasaki filter 49065-A. The number 7007 is five. At the time of writing, the number is 99, with 5 being the most recent addition. 45 if purchased in a quantity of 12 or more. If what you receive is the same filter as the item pictured, that's a good deal for the commercial guys. It looks and appears to be OEM from what I can tell. This filter worked flawlessly for me, and I would order it again if the need arose. The genuine Kawasaki OEM filter, which was purchased from a professional parts company. Whoever sells OEM Kawasaki filters has a sticker that looks identical to this one. I'm not sure why my original factory OEM Kawasaki filter, which came with my brand new mower, had printing on it instead of a sticker. I'm hoping the stickers on the filters indicate that they're OEM. Hmmmm! That's something I might have to look into. Anyhow. I've posted pictures of what I got, so I'm not worried. Because I change my oil and filter much sooner than the recommended interval, I am completely confident in their ability to adequately filter. As a result, even if I discover that the filters with the stickers, but not the printing, are not OEM, I will not return them. I simply would not buy them again because the Kawasaki OEM is my preferred brand.
It is not a Kawasaki filter that I have received. I'll send it back to you. Look at the images below. China is the source of this product. There is a sticker on the Kawasaki filters. That is not the case here. A Kawasaki sticker with the part number stuck over a generic fitment sticker for a B is found on the box. S is the code for the part. Instead of using this made in China replacement filter, I'd rather pay a few dollars more at the Cub Cadet dealer.
This is the one that has been created. The item in question is not a Kawasaki filter. This one is made in China and is unlabeled- Clearly, it's a rip-off. Kawasaki filters are packaged in a Kawasaki box with a Kawasaki label and a p/n inked on the filter. The item was returned to the sender.
Several people have complained that it is not OEM or that it is made in a foreign country, but the one I received came in OEM packaging and stated that it was made in the United States. I had to replace mine because the break-in oil had to be changed every 8 hours. Despite the fact that the owner's manual stated that the filter did not need to be changed, I went ahead and changed it. Filter and oil have always been considered low-cost insurance!.
I read a few reviews that claimed this oil filter was a fake due to the Chinese writing found on it. This is the same filter that came off my lawn mower when I changed the oil for the first time. It appears to be constructed of high-quality materials. The same filter costs $15 at Lowes, according to my research. There was a 00 dollar bill there, but I only paid $10. For this one, I'm going to go with a 00. The filter did not leak or cause any problems.
I'm sticking to my guns. Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) filter for the Kawasaki FX600V. When at all possible, I stick to factory-maintained items. The oil is changed at the end of the season, and the filter is replaced every two years. Depending on the make of your mower, removing the filter without spilling it all over the place can be difficult, so put a rag down below it first and invest in a claw type filter wrench.
I only ordered one of these as a test because there has been some confusion about whether or not they are OEM filters. The one I got is identical to the one that came with my new mower from the factory. I was in a Kawasaki-branded box that was painted matte black and had a Kawasaki sticker that was identical to the one that came on my mower. I'm certain it's made by Kawasaki, and I'm about to place another order for five more.
