Having a device which will capture larger particles may be the solution if you want something that will work. All it is is a tubular mesh screen with a large diameter. As if you had a screen over your sink faucet. Unfortunately, I am a bit disappointed, since this looks so.
This feeds a FiTech Meanstreet on my V8 that has a 600 hp big block chevy with AN6 fittings. A 30 micron filter was specified in the tech note, and this part has a diameter of During my conversation with a representative at summit racing, he told me many guys have used this filter without issue with FiTechs. Thus far, I have not encountered any problems. My estimate was incorrect. I thought it would be larger.
They have a 3 dimensional filter element that is well made. A screen disk is used as a filter on knockoffs. * Plus, this item is made in the United States. You can get the real deal by buying the real thing. You're worth the money you spend on your car.
I don't understand what the point of this coarse art is? An application like this would run on a really specific machine. The sock on your fuel pump is useless if it is attached to a fuel pump.
A classic Malibu of mine had one of these. The CARB rules for gasoline are so crazy in California, which makes everything complicated. Carb cleaner is an easy way to clean carbs. My second one is just so that I can clean the other side during my leisure time after switching out the first. An 8mm wrench is easy to turn on a 3/8 inch fuel line because of the 6AN female threads (5/8 in X 11/16).
My first bolt was broken the minute I put it in place. Since it is not a solid piece, it leaked where the press had been applied. Because it seals properly and works effectively, I was forced to reuse my Edelbrock. My only reason for purchasing it was to have a solid color in my engine bay since I dislike the color blue and red. The last time I had one of these was 35 years ago. Above all, it was a waste of time and money.
This is the same as the Summit 40 micron filter that I had planned to order, so I decided to order this Russell filter instead. The fact that it was available with Prime shipping and $5 cheaper made it a no-brainer. Installation was as simple and straightforward as it looks, and so far I have not had any problems.
The part, the packaging, and the finish are all of the highest quality.
