Don't drill any bigger than the filter, just make the hole the same size as the filter. You should be able to fit snugly. In order to ensure a better seal, I added a bit of silicone to the diameter of the hole as well.
Putting the K&N filter in place of the OEM filter is always a good idea It seems that a filter would have leaned out the fuel mixture by increasing airflow to the carburetor. you still are running rich, the next step is to make sure your choke is properly attached. This means it's not stuck open or partially closed. In the event that the choke is working properly, the next step would be to ensure that the carb jetting is also correct. A Uni filter called the It is unlikely that 6 will have any significant effect on you.
You can watch a video that shows you everything you need to know on YouTube. It is better to have more holes, but this will balance out your mix. As soon as I added the 305 Big Bore kit, I had to plug all the holes back up to head back in the opposite direction. You can keep the 250 displacement engine with six holes, an EJK, a header, and an FMF if you want to. Simply drop one tooth from the front sprocket and raise two tooth from the back sprocket if money is an issue. The best value for your money. Performing wheelies is no longer an issue since it is able to "pull" in sixth gear. I was also surprised to see that the top end doesn't suffer much as well.
For the screws, I used a 1" drill bit, and for holding them in place, I used black RTV silicone.

This product is well made and great concept, but it needs a refresh (that you can do with some side cutters and an xacto knife). When you look at the grates without the filters installed, you can see they are very restrictive, especially when you consider its almost 7/8" ID. To make the filters breathe properly it took me three minutes for each one. On a predator generator, I use these vents to let out the case's contents. In some videos online I saw gen looked like crap with vents all over the place so i did not want that for my gen. My guess is there is a good reason for this, but I cannot see one. I have found that having just an "X" in the center works well for my purposes.
I was able to get more airflow to my Predator 3500 generator with this. You will need to drill three holes in the oil fill cover door so that the filter vents can be placed. There is no sputtering in the generator any longer!.
A couple of these were needed for the airbox mod I did I used a 1" drill bit to drill each hole and the vents fit snugly in them. As a precaution, I used some black gasket maker around the edges to make sure they stayed in place, though that was probably not necessary. You can feel air sucked through the vents when you start the bike. There is no significant problem with quality of construction. The air holes seem to get covered by some flashing, but this does not seem to interfere with the flow of air. I would definitely purchase them again and they are worth the price. They were twice as expensive as I had expected.
The coolers are a fantastic way to get some additional air flow and achieve It is best to plan carefully and take your time if you want to avoid There are several pros to this This is an affordable and simple to install product. Prior to drilling any holes in your air box, make sure you lay out your hole patterns clearly. Common sense should dictate that you look inside first. The cons are *Make sure the holes are not too large! These will not stay in place if they are even slightly larger as they depend on friction to stay in place. It is not recommended to use a hole saw like I did on the first vent hole in the air box. This 1" Uni-screw is large You are probably going to save yourself quite a bit of time and headache by using the bit instead. In case you need to glue or wrap them with electrical tape, you could certainly do so- The best thing to do is not to oversize. Lessons.
The installation process is easy. A Harbor freight 3500 inverter generator (Oil fill door) was installed. The great ventilation keeps out bugs at the same time.
On both my TT 230 and TT 250, I used them to uncork the intake box, which made a world of difference, only had to increase the jet size on the smaller bike by five sizes, and by three sizes on the larger one.
I would recommend it. These are what I bought to increase the air flow in my Harbor freight generator. I like how it works.
The air that was given to my son's TTR110 dirtbike caused the carb to bog down. I used one or two of the bungs in it to fix the problem.
