It was necessary to change the stock filter every other weekend. Outerwears Sleeve made a big difference for me. I'm so glad I got this. Four trips later, everything looks as new as the day I bought it. After every trip, just wash the outerwears and lightly blow the filters with compressed air. It costs only about 20 bucks more than an OEM stock filter but offers far more protection and lasts far longer. I've had it for 4 weekends and it still looks good.
