Removed it to fit the vibrant res and it made it perfectly usable but is still annoying. By using a big body resonator, we brought the level down to a level that can be driven. Depending on the size and configuration of your downpipe, it might even sound good with a catless downpipe. If you intend to cut out the drone, get this one and skip the resonator that looks like a small can.

Rather than the factory resonator, I replaced it with this one The exhaust system. (Almost) all the sounds have been restored to stock after curtailing the drone.

It is an absorption style resonator, so it operates more like a muffler, lowers exhaust noise, and also increases exhaust flow more effectively than straight piping. They were installed on my straight piped hellcat, and I had problems with it being raspy and having a I installed two of these and my car is back in legal range. It still sounds like a hellcat should, though louder than stock and no more annoying noises. The car now drives smoother and sounds better than before because the resonators provide faster and more efficient flow. I lost 12 decibels on cold start and 5 to 8 at idle, but my car is louder on cold start and idle. Although you probably won't notice much of an increase in performance unless your car is a crazy supercar, these sound great and perform well.

Resonator does hang down a little from the underside of the vehicle, however not far enough to hit speed bumps unless lowering springs are installed. Borla S Type Catback in combination with CTS catted downpipe. I thought it was a lot louder than I thought. In its own way, the generic resonator did its task, but not in a precise Especially bad was the drone in low RPMs, and man, it had a very bad g-force We had some mild engine knock as the pressure was off a bit. It really has made a big difference since I installed the Vibrant 17950 last week. a) when you get on the throttle (which is what I wanted) and no knocking! higher flow did the trick, and I also noticed there were a few more pops and bangs when I switched to I agree with the other reviews that the quality of the product was excellent for the price. It still has a great deal of noise, but it is much more refined.

A high quality cut that will also work with a drone. There will always be a difference in sound, but chances are this will help if your car produces drone or rasp. In my case, I started out with a ridiculous custom exhaust that was installed by the previous owner of the G35. A bit of reigning in was needed.

In this case, the shipping box was the product Despite the fact that tape was NOT used, the box could be opened. As soon as the package arrived, it was already opened. I don't know how the resonator didn't roll out during shipping and get lost, but it didn't. I have attached a photo showing how I received it.
