Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with a Mercury Mountaineer from 2006?

The 36132 is a universal fit flange repair kit that can be used on a variety of vehicles and flanges. However, proper fitment may necessitate vehicle or flange adaptation.

Is there any crimping on the exhaust pipe with this?

It just clamps on the exhaust pipe, that's all.

What is the diameter of the pipe that it will fit?

Tube with a diameter of 2".

I'm looking for a part number for a 2001 Mustang 3. From the manifold to the cross pipe, how many steps does it take?

Hello,br>All of our flange repair kits are listed as universal rather than vehicle specific applications. We only have a few, and there's no guarantee that any of them will fit at the connection point you're working on.

For a rusted flange, this is an excellent solution
5/5

A great way to fix a rusted flange at a low cost. My 2001 Maxima had an exhaust leak in the rear area of the resonator pipe, which I discovered by listening to the exhaust noise. I was planning on replacing the entire reasonator assembly, but upon closer inspection, the reasonator and piping appeared to be in good condition. The original stainless steel pipe that came with the car is shown here. It's good stuff, and it shouldn't be taken out on the spur of the moment to replace it with cheap aftermarket material that will rust in two years. The flange was the only part of the machine that had deteriorated. It had indeed rusted away from the pipe, where the original flange weld used to be. The original piping was decided to be kept. It was simple to remove the flange bolts and replace the rusted flange with this repair. The exhaust issue is no longer an issue. This replacement flange will go on just before the flare on your pipe. Make sure you order a new gasket and flange bolts that are longer. The following images are included in the gallery: 2. Shows a rusted flange that has separated from the pipe. The old flange has been removed. Close-up of Walker 36132 in its final position. The view from the passenger's wheel well in the back. It's worth noting that Amazon isn't oriented correctly.

The item arrived larger than expected and was unable to be used
3/5

This part that arrived for me is far too large to fit 2" pipe, as other reviewers have also stated. A minimum of 25" is required, but it appears that even larger is preferable. br>I'm also perplexed as to why no sizing information is provided in the listing description. According to the manufacturer's comments in the review comments, this fits two people. I was working off of a number of 0's. However, the part isn't nearly as small as it appears. br>Now I'm in a hurry for a road trip, so I'll have to either fix the fitment issue with more metal sleeving or settle for a clanging muffler. It was a frustrating experience. What's up with the fact that the proper sizing isn't specified in these listings?.

Walker 36132 is a 2-inch tall walker
3/5

The diameter is 5". So it appears that this 36132 flange was designed for two people. It's a 5" exhaust pipe, not a 2" as some have suggested. For your convenience, I've attached a picture. When the two halves are mated, the total weight will be around 2. A minimum of 25" is required, with a maximum of 2 feet. The flared side of the flange measures 5" in diameter. It won't fit my 2" exhaust, but it appears to be a good kit otherwise.

It worked fine, but it was poorly made
3/5

Repair the converter to exhaust pipe flange on a 2002 Ford Ranger with this part. It was an excellent solution. All fasteners had to be tightened slowly at first. The exhaust bolts were barely long enough to get started with. Get new fasteners for everything as a favor to yourself. br>The welds on the part were of poor quality. I would have returned it for another if I had bought it locally (as shown in the photo). So far, it's held up-.

I was glad I didn't have to go to a shop for a welding repair or buy a new cat because I was able to get it to work
4/5

When the cat flange on a 'well-kept' 2000 Subaru Outback rusted off, I used this method. For this to fit in, I had to remove some of the cat heat shield. In my opinion, you've saved the day.

Does not correspond to the image
3/5

I didn't like how the picture depicted a cast part that had been cut in half, but the delivered part was a pressed steel part with wings welded on and cut in half. The two halves I got aren't even from the same piece, so they don't fit together very well. It is also not a 2"ID part; it is larger and does not clamp the pipe; it would not have worked if the weld on the old flange had not been complete.

What are the differences between the two? So far, I've only opened the box, so I can't comment on the quality or application of the flanges
3/5

As you can see in the photo, I received two different flanges: one that looks like the product in other people's photos, and the other that looks like someone welded their own bolts on and then cut it in half with a cut off wheel. And one of the flanges is two inches long, while the other is nearly two and a half, and they're packaged differently? Either a mix-up occurred, or Walker has serious quality control issues.

This "repair" flange is for 2" pipe, though some of the reviews claim it will "fit" a 2
3/5

IT WILL NOT FIT IN A 5" pipe. I returned this one and replaced it with 36130, which fits a 2 perfectly. 5" pipebr>Before purchasing, read the descriptions and reviews carefully to determine what size you require. It appears to be constructed well.
