They should fit because the valve covers for the 289 and 302 are the same.

Is this going to work on a 1978 460?

With summit racing, there is no need to check.

Is this going to work with a 347 stroker?

They're a stock height valve cover, so they should fit a 347 stroker. The cam lift and rockers used would be the only factors to consider. For clearance requirements, check with the manufacturers of the rockers and cam.

I was under the impression that they came with a pvc oil breather, but they did not, and there are two left sides instead of a true right and left cover
