Does not work with viton seals, LS engine

Did not work with viton valve stem seals on an LS engine, just squished the springs. Comp was the number I dialed. I tested the cams before using them to make sure they'd work with the valve spring seals I was using. I was misinformed by the person I spoke with.

Before you use this tool, remember to remove your seal's small springs. When you're finished, don't forget to replace them.

The product did not perform as expected. Before switching to a socket, I ripped out 5 valve seals. This isn't a tool you'd want to own. The socket was flawless. Design flaws!.

There are no instructions for installing the device

When it arrived, this tool was a bit of a enigma. I didn't know how to use it, and it came with no installation instructions. When I contacted Comp Cams technical support, I never received the same response when I inquired about how to use it. I went ahead and tried the seal job with teflon seals on a BBC. I managed to ruin two seals before I figured out how to install them properly. I ended up pushing them on with the tool's butt (remember to use the installation sleeve), inverting the tool, and pushing the seal on. I used a 12mm deep socket to finish the job after removing the installation sleeve. The tool is functional and inexpensive, but I have to believe there is a better option out there. By the way, I contacted tech support again, complaining about the lack of installation instructions, and they promised to look into it.
