I believe they will work as long as you can access the engine's springs, and I am confident they will work on any ohv engine.

I had to cut off a couple coils because they don't fit through the wide guide boss bases on Vortec heads and end up on the shoulder. I had to cut off the bottom couple of coils in order to get full valve movement. They were effective once they were completed. These would work well for bosses that have a smaller ID than the springs. br>It's used to check the retainer for clearance and to degree the cam.
To keep the spring from compressing my hydraulic lifters, I had to cut about a third of it off. Would work fine for checking pushrod length, but would need to be modified if you wanted to check piston clearance or do anything else with the valves off the seat.
Good tool.
The hydraulic plungers are still able to be compressed. I ended up measuring the plunger travel and multiplying it by the length of my pushrod.
Even without the seal, it won't fit over the value guide. The "diameter" of the value spring should be the same. It's completely useless!.

Without having to track them down in search of a local source, I was able to get exactly what I needed.
