I like the appearance of the pan, and the transmission fits it For my 1986 K20 Chevy, I used this As far as I can tell, most of the 3/4 ton and 1 ton Chevy/GMC trucks of this era with a turbo 400 came standard with a deep sump pan (since these models were heavy duty). There were a few small burrs on the bolt holes on the mating side, but nothing substantial, so I probably didn't need to "chisel" away the edge. A disappointment is the leaky drain plug which appeared as soon as liquid was poured into With a plastic washer on the plug, I tighten the bolt to the point where I don't have to worry about shattering the I shifted from a stock pan to this because of the drain plug, but as far as I can tell there is no reason to consider the stock pan It looks like I'll have to get a new drain plug soon. Some reviews on other sites indicated that this was a good product, but perhaps those reviews were written before the transmission was installed and filled?.
Despite reading that aftermarket chrome pans were prone to leaking, I had no problems with the one I bought.
The extension does not include a filter. It took a while to install and I regret making the There is not enough metal on the sheet and there are no chrome highlights. Original pan has been reused after being painted.
The number of Pan is just two. This deep hole is 75in wide. The depth mentioned in the description is not sufficient for my transmission, and there is no mention of four inches. The rest of the page is nice.
It was a good experience.
I thought it was great at first, until I realized that one bolt was digging a hole into the side of the Additionally, I had to sand burrs off bolt holes because a burr caused the first gasket to fail.
Did not come with a worn gasket about the leak from the drain plug, just needed to use a washer to plug in between the plastic seal and the plug.
I was pleased with the performance of this product In the near future, I plan to buy.
