I found the camaro shoe to be in good shape and fit perfectly on my 1987 Camaro. After pondering the extra fluid versus the extra depth for a long time, I decided to go with the extra fluid. As I speculated, most of the time I'll be passing on the highways, but it does protrude enough when passing that it might be dinged if it gets hit sometimes. In order to end up with a flawless bond, I used a cork gasket and lightly tightened and fulled with fluid, then It would have been better if there had been another In most cases, I hold it in place with a bit of gasket tack. The bottom drain plug was left loose and leaking after I forgot to tighten it with a ratchet. I just wanted to let you know.

The filter extension tube, two O-rings, and two filters are included in the package The filter seal on the extension tube should be replaced by O-rings instead of a regular filter seal. The insertion and removal of the filter tubes seemed a little wonky to me because, normally, they are rather snug. It was no longer working so I replaced it My filter seal still wobbled a bit, so that is the nature of the beast. I put an o-ring on the filter seal and it no longer wobbles, so that is no problem. I put the rings back on and checked the pressures both in the shop and on the road, and everything is fine. The pump is getting plenty of juice, seals or not. The finish is incredibly shiny, and the winter sludge and salt haven't stained Looks like it just came from the store. This product is of a high quality. You will like it.

In this pan, the mounting surface and the bottom of the pan were scuffed to the point of being indigestible. A second problem was that the filter extension tube was about an inch too long for the pan to snap into place.

An attractive addition to the engine of a car

I bought it for a 1992 Roadmaster Wagon with a 350 engine to allow more fluid capacity, to allow better cooling, and to allow for lubrication, as well as a drain plug for when filter replacement is not required. For its first 21 years, it moved people around central Wisconsin on 190K miles of road. My plans are to restore it to like new status, complete it with an engine upgrade, install a booming stereo, make the cargo deck more spacious and make it comfortable for sleeping.
