There is a considerable difference between clearances on OEM bearings and aftermarket The bearings are still far too large even with the STD suffix

As I measured the clearances between the old bearings after 100k miles with Plastigauge, they were still within spec for the Miata 1. That prompted me to write this review after I had broken in my rebuilt engine. The engine is an 8L BPZ3 A scale of 1 to 8 thou. The diameter is approximately one thou (four thou). I agree with 2 however. Afterward, I installed these bearings again and measured, and I got a There is a 6 thou thrust on every main. Additionally, I was able to install ACL race bearings for the connecting rods, and they were also above specs. Despite it running fine, I think this would be due to these old bearings because there is ever so slightly more noise than stock. You should at least advertise a bearing in spec, if you are going to advertise it as standard size.
