Questions & Answers

Is there a set of hose clamps included with this? Stant 45359 will be a good match. Is there anything else I should know about? Liberty CRD is an acronym for "Community Resource Development." ?

There are no clamps on it, and it fits any chevrolet v8 thermostat. I used it with a 185 degree thermostat that had a 1/8" hole drilled in it on my Liberty CRD. This year's winter was too cold, so I'll replace it with a 195-degree thermostat with a much smaller hole drilled in it next year.

Is it compatible with a certain hose size?

1 1/2 inch, but the supply hose was bent so badly that I couldn't use it.

What are the dimensions of the inlet and outlet?

Size of the inlet: 500 in. br>Size of Outlet: 1 500 in.

What is the temperature at which the termostate is opened?

It does not include a thermostat. You'll need to buy that separately, and you'll have a variety of temperature openings to choose from. Look at the bottom of the page for a list of items that were purchased together.

It was used in in place of an eddlebrock intake manifold thermostat housing with a difficult to come by gasket Simply place the thermostats, cut the lead hose, install, and tighten the clamps.

This puppy, on the other hand, is able to get the engine warmed up and have a nice warm cabin

It's the first time in my Jeep Liberty CRD's history that I've been able to keep it at 12: I've had multiple OEM thermostats fail open in the past, but this puppy was able to finally get the engine warmed up and have a nice warm cabin. If the thermostat breaks down in the future, there should be a much easier and less expensive fix now.

On a 2005 Jeep Liberty 2, this part was used. Heat (above 140 degrees) was something I had never experienced before. I now have a temperature of 190 degrees in the winter, and all I had to do was buy a constant thermostat and some hose clamps. fantastic item.

For what I needed, this was an excellent solution

Everything went off without a hitch. To make it work for my application, I sanded it down and painted it black. Overall, it was less expensive than figuring out how to install a thermostat on my own.

This product does exactly what it says. The only suggestion I have for the design is to include a hex key bleeder, which would make a huge difference. 👍.

When towing, it helped me avoid overheating. The thermostat is normally located on the bottom of the engine, but this did not make sense to me, so I moved it to the top.
