It was purchased in exchange for a 1964 Ford F-150 pickup truck. 250 with an original Y-shaped Y-shaped Y-shaped Y-shaped Y- 292 ci V-block If you don't have an original V-, then you're out of luck. If you have an 8 in your Falcon, it's possible that it's not the right radiator cap. Just a quick "shooting from the hip" response.
It's compatible with my overflow container. The pressure release handle is absent from the cap, so it functions similarly to a regular cap. The handle simply relieves pressure, allowing you to open it more easily.
YES, it certainly does. I didn't know the answer, so I went to double-check. It has rubber seals on the top and bottom.

On a K1500 4x4 5 from the 1990s, I used this. 7L with overflow coolant tank from the factory. I wanted less pressure in the system after installing a new radiator, upper and lower hoses, and a thermostat. Because the truck is old and has a lot of miles on it. Compared to the factory 16 LB cap, this 7 LB cap reduces pressure. The recovery tank performs as expected, with hot and cold levels drawing coolant back in as it cools. I'm also thinking about using it on an old V8 car to keep the pressure down and avoid hose bursts and coolant leaks.
It doesn't get any better. On my 66 C-, I had a 7-psi cap. It became hot and began to lose water at a rate of 10 per minute. I wanted to gradually increase the pressure to 10 psi because of the cooling system's age and uncertainty. br>This cap did a fantastic job of it. br>I'm running at a lower temperature and losing less coolant. br>I'm going to try a 13 psi cap if I'm feeling lucky. Woohoo! It's a risky existence.
I used this cap and a reserve tank to convert a "sealed" system (13 PSI cap). Because all of the air in the block has been expelled, the cooling system now works a lot better. Previously, there was a significant amount of air trapped in the cooling system (due to the sealed cap).
Was precisely what I was looking for. I stole the spring from this and installed it on the upper cap of my Subaru STi to allow air to escape the cooling system. The head gasket has a small leak, and this workaround allows me to keep driving the car during the summer while I fix it before storing it for the winter.
19 pounds of pressure is too much for most hoses.
I purchased it for my 1987 Dodge pickup truck because I prefer to be able to relieve pressure before opening the radiator. br>This is a great old-fashioned cap.
👍.
It fits perfectly in the reservoir tank of my motorhome. It's a lot simpler to put on and take off the cap now. It hasn't overflowed, and the water in the radiator is at the same temperature as it was before I installed the higher pressure cap.
