Yes, it can, but it is recommended that you use a relay to remove the load from the controller
It does not, and it is also not necessary given that the temperature needs to be set only once to match the specifications of the vehicle.

Installed this thermistor to control the fan on my vintage Yamaha street bike. According to the instructions, the sensor is too large to be installed inside the radiator hose. (This would work well on a large vehicle or other large object. So I wear a tie It was wrapped around the top of the radiator, as I had yet to figure out a better mounting strategy. *The information in the manual fails to mention this, but once the temperature drops by 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the contacts will open.
My factory fan relay and sensor have been bypassed via this installation. Suitable for the job. The ability to adjust the fan to suit my driving conditions is more than welcome. A few examples The temp is set to a lower midpoint In summer, set your thermostat to the factory temperature, and back to it every other time. By keeping the engine operating temperatures rather than letting it get significantly hotter than normal, then cooling it back down, the engine will operate at its optimal temperature. This product has a solid build, but the only thing I dislike is that it is missing a control knob or the backing plate with markings (to determine the temperature). If you purchase a knob for this as well as a backing plate that you can mark with temperature settings, you will save yourself some time and frustration.
First, there was a garbage bag missing parts. Within a week, she broke up with him. Therefore, I returned it and installed a new one only to have it die after less than a month. Since then I have been unable to return the item and get my money back. In that case, I would not recommend purchasing.
The original owner installed this aftermarket electric fan in my machine, and the wires were burned out. I bought this to fix the wires in the fan. I was able to get my fan spinning again by looking at the diagram that came with this kit, and observing the wires that were already there.
A good product that worked the way it was meant to.
Certainly, I have used it twice on previous occasions and it worked just fine each time. Despite the fact that the unit can be adjusted for the selected vehicle, it is very unique and adaptable.
Designed according to specification, the system works perfectly. Having trouble getting the radiator hose to seal around the thistle tube on the probe is the only problem I have.
It works well but the difference between turn and turn-around time is rather excessive. You may now turn things off and turn them back on A 15-inch one would be more appropriate There is a temperature of 17 degrees Fahrenheit. As long as it works and I need it, I'll still give it 5 stars. For the hose to seal after installation, you need to use gasket maker inside the hose and around the outside of the hose barb (I used ultra copper but you could use whatever you like) and that will take anywhere from 12 or 24 hours. The cooling system should be allowed to cure for at least one hour before being refilled. The commenter who posted this also said that his failed after a few years. You will likely find that it is not quite as reliable as the OEM fan temp sensor, so you will need to be ready for it to eventually fail.
In my application there is no other use for this, so I am only using it to turn on the stock cooling fans when the temperature drops, so this controls a parallel circuit on the low-temperature cooling fans Those are the numbers on the power side of the stock relay, so they are zero. When that fails, it will still run the stock temp probe, which still keeps the fans running at the stock temperature if it fails. The following edits have been made to the 10/2017 version of this post It still works fine, but the hot water sometimes doesn't start as quickly in the morning when it's warm.
