It's a tiny cooler, and I doubt it'll be enough to keep the transmission cool. I'd go for something a little more substantial. It's almost the same size as my power steering pump cooler and serves as an engine oil cooler for me.

Look up more detailed specifications on the actual size of the core on this unit if you want to do yourself a favor. I assumed the product dimensions were for the actual cooler, but it turns out they are for the box. When I first received it, I was disappointed, and I debated whether or not to return it to Amazon and buy the larger version. However, I decided to keep it, and the customer has had no complaints about the vehicle in which it was installed thus far. The cooler wasn't cold, but it wasn't hot either, so it appears to be doing its job in the hot Florida weather for a 1998 Isuzu Hombre (basically an S10).
On my 66 Chevy, I upgraded to a Hydroboost system and needed some additional cooling. This fit perfectly under the bumper in front of the radiator, with a clear run to the power steering pump. Aside from having to burp the unit (get the air out), it appears to be performing admirably.
It's simple to shape it to fit where you want it to go. For my LS conversion chevelle, I needed a power steering cooler. This was a fantastic decision. It can easily be shaped to fit where you want it, and sheet metal screws can be used to secure it.
It was perfect! It was simple to set up and I didn't need to purchase anything else to do so. It's easy to mount, which I like. It has two mounting holes that can easily be secured with self-tapping screws. Other types of coolers that use round plastic zip ties have given me problems. The padding between the radiators deteriorates over time and can lead to premature failure.
This was used as an engine oil cooler and worked flawlessly. There were no leaks, the mounting tabs were strong, and the size was ideal for my needs.
