Nut that locks in place

Because of the indentations on the threads' tops, this is a locking nut. Without an impact gun, installation would be difficult. It has a high-end appearance and feel to it.

It fit my 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 front diff perfectly, but make sure you know what pinion gear thread you have because it's recommended to replace the old nut with a new one if you remove it

The nut on the left is the one I got, and the one on the right is the wrong size

It wasn't big enough. It fits a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, according to the vehicle fitment. For a 9. I needed a pinion nut. 25 in the backend This is most likely for a front pinion. In general, I won't be able to use the part. I'll keep it and take a loss because I can't wait for the next one.

According to the listing information, this would not fit my 1988 or 1994 Jeep Wrangler front axle. I double-checked the part on the Yukon website and it's the right one; it fits perfectly and is of typical Yukon quality: top shelf.
