Questions & Answers

I'm replacing the 30 spline axles in my 03' super duty with 35 spline axles. Are these meant to be used by 99 percent of the population? Is it better to have a number four or a number five?

These fit my 03 with 35 spline shafts, and they worked fine.

Does this hub only work with free spin hubs or does it also work with unit bearings?

They're for hubs that have to be locked manually.

I'm curious as to how different these are from a standard Warn in terms of profile. ?

The hub/dial protrudes 1/2" from the wheel hub's face. br>Most warn hubs protrude about 1 1/4 - 2 inches from the wheel. inch and a half

Lockout hubs are fantastic! These are built to last and have a nice appearance
5/5

The YHC70006 was installed on a 19-spline Dana 44 from a Grand Wagoneer from the mid-1980s. The only minor issue I had was that according to the instructions, there is a snap ring that goes on the end of the axle shaft; however, there is a section in the instructions that states that some applications may not use this snap ring. I didn't have enough room at the end of my axle to install the snap ring, but I was worried it was something I was doing incorrectly. So I contacted Yukon, who advised me to remove the snap ring. Their customer service is excellent; if you have any questions about their products, please contact them and they will gladly assist you. I've only taken my Jeep for one ride since installing the hubs, and they've performed admirably. They lock and unlock with just two fingers, no pliers required, and they only take a quarter turn to lock and unlock. These hubs are more expensive than the majority on the market, but they are well worth it. This fantastic product has exceeded my expectations.

Finicky to say the least
3/5

These are the third time I've installed them. They're incredibly powerful. Every time I lock or unlock my hubs, I have to loosen the bolts, which I did with a torque wrench as directed. After loosening the bolts, you'll need to turn them with an Arkansas speed wrench or pliers. I've been a mechanic for 15 years and have used a lot of hubs, but if I had to buy new hubs, I'd go with Warn.

Very powerful! So far, they haven't been broken! br>They're easy to lock but difficult to unlock, which I don't mind because I didn't break them

br>5300 lb rig, 480 HP, 40" tires, lots of skinny pedals, everything looked brand new after the trip when inspected. br>br>In most cases, the Warn premium 35 spline only lasts one trip. These are a lot more powerful. br> Spacers were the wrong length for Ford stub shafts, which caused a minor installation issue. I just needed to make the spacers a little longer, and I was ready to go. br>If they came with a variety of spacer sizes, I'd give them five stars. br>I will certainly tell my friends about it. br>updatebr>4 more trips and they're still looking brand newbr>Easier to unlock nowbr>excellent product!.

I received the incorrect installation instructions in the box for these hubs, but they are fairly simple to install

However, I double-checked the procedure on the internet. br>br>I took my first off-road adventure. With these, I went on a road trip and had no issues. With a locking diff and a 450hp engine, this full-size truck rides on 44-inch boggers.

I'm very disappointed because I've done a lot of business with Yukon in the past
3/5

Countless emails, phone calls, and photo exchanges were exchanged. Back and forth for almost three weeks. I had no choice but to come back. I was unable to make it fit my 1978 Chevy Dana 60. They could only tell me to wait while they worked out the problem. I mentioned that my return deadline was approaching. They informed me that there was no reason for me to return. However, he refused to provide any parts or information necessary to resolve the issue. I went with the Warn hubs and had them installed in 10 minutes, which I was very disappointed with after doing so much business with Yukon in the past. I have five other ton Chevys, so I'll probably give them another shot. However, I will be troubled for a long time by this experience.

These Dana 60 30 spline axles were purchased for my 1981 Chevy with a Dana 60 axle
5/5

The installation went smoothly, and the instructions were easy to follow. There are no alloy parts visible, and they appear to be fully machined steel. Warranty period is limited to a lifetime.

BEEF WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CHROMOLY
5/5

I was blown away by the quality of these lockouts. They appear to be far more durable than Warn's, which have flimsy aluminum internals. This kit includes three different shim packs that can be used on a variety of axles and stubs, as well as detailed step-by-step instructions with plenty of color photos. These lockouts engage solidly and have a substantial weight to them; they are more expensive, but they will be the last you'll ever need! br> I used them on a Dodge D44 5x5 pickup truck. Five hubs with ECGS 19 spline stubs that are nine inches long. 94" long.

So far, these hubs have been fantastic. They are of excellent quality! Steel in abundance! Buy these hubs; they're not junk, and you can tell the company takes pride in making a good product. br>br>If they ever break, I'll edit this review or write another one. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "in Make sure the hub bolts are not overtightened! If they're too tight, they'll be a bear to lock in place. You'll be fine if you get them nice and tight with a lot of loctite.
