This pan does not include filter extensions, which would allow you to place the filter all the way to the bottom of the pan. It does, however, have built-in pedestals on which the filter's bottom would rest rather than falling. I took measurements from the flange to the bottom of the filter and to the pedestals, then chose the filter that best fit the measurements. When the two filters are installed, the measurements from the flange to the bottom of the filter are slightly different. I took measurements from the flange to the bottom of the filter and to the pedestals, then chose the filter that best fit the measurements. br>The Allen head screws that come with the kit are nice, but the Allen depth is very shallow, making them prone to stripping out if you aren't careful. br>I'm still giving it 5 stars because it does exactly what it says it will and it fixed all of my leaky trans pans! I only wish it came with a sensor bung built in.
Other comparable items have the best price and quality. For my application, a 2001 2500 Chevy hd Silverado, I only had to loosen the trans mount bolt and jack up the transmission slightly to fasten the bolts on the pan around the crossmember. Everything fits perfectly, and the only change I had to make was to bend the factory trans shift linkage bracket to clear the side of the pan. Aside from that, it's just a tack on.
This is a wonderful skillet. All gaskets, bolts, and other accessories, as well as two filters, are included. br>br>However, it will not fit a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 2500. Although the transmission is in good working order, the cross member is too close to the trans pan.
With a 4l80e swap, they fit perfectly in my 2005 Silverado RCSB. I have plenty of clearance even with the truck lowered to 4/7.
nice pan.
