It was purchased to install on my 4x4 '79 Bronco only to find that it doesn't work. As the unit was modified, I did not bother to get a warranty. It looks good to me.
Since there wasn't a 3 1/2 out of 5, I gave this product a 4. wait for a moment while I There is a lot I like about this shifter. It is a new product, so it has room for improvement, just as any product does. According to my findings, I came to the following conclusions. To get the rear mounts to fit correctly, you need to adjust them a bit. It is easy for the holes on the mechanism to strip if you aren't careful, and the bolts can bottom out when you tighten them. The rod that connects the arm on the shifter with the arm on the transmission is now only 1/4" long It looked to me like this could be a We therefore have to do it for the sake of preventing future headaches. As a result, my rod and rod ends are 5/16 threaded and the holes in my back are 5/16 drilled spaced apart! Unless stated otherwise, this shifter does not come with directions for installation. However, you can find the instructions on their website. I am presently installing the transmission and motor, however I do not imagine I will have any problems with it. All in all, I'd say give one of these shifters a try for the money! Alternatively, I hear much less good about the quality of a Lokar, even though I have to pay twice as much.
A cable that fits into the shifter would not work and I would have to trim the coding off and still it would not work very well. I would have to upgrade to a side shifter instead.
