Vehicle Specific Fit Type

The driveshaft yoke is secured to the pinion gear with pinion nuts.

A pinion nut for a Ford 8 differential is available. Differentials are available in two sizes: 8 inch and standard Ford 9 inch.

When a gear set is changed, the original worn or damaged pinion nuts should be replaced.

The Ford 8 is the vehicle in question. When you run out of nuts for your nut needs, add 8 nuts to the mix.

I can't say I'm disappointed because it worked perfectly on a Ford 8. The pinion shaft is 8 inches long. The nut is very similar to the one that came with the vehicle.
