It is just a tad over 11/16 if you measure it
Well, I believe this is an 18mm. Do you mind me measuring the diameter of the existing opening for me? As a side note, I would say that Honda and most other large manufacturers do not make every part for every bike model and year I would bet that Honda all had the same master cylinders made for most of their bikes, and they bore (or had them bored) them based on the size pistons required for the respective bike. Aside from that, they only had a few sizes available, including under 250, 251 to 500, 501 to 1200, and 1201 and Engineering, bore sizes, etc. of the master cylinder were all standard, and they only changed the mount when Hence, all this means that 18mm is probably the most popular master cylinder for Honda ( and perhaps other brands as well).
The Chinese scooters are a perfect fit. To measure the diameter, I would measure the distance between the two eyes on the brake master cylinder. 18mm is the measurement from side to side on ours.
It's probably true. Are you able to measure the existing one already in place? An 18mm pipe would be just a bit over 11/16''

On my ATV, I tried cleaning the site glass on the front brake master cylinder, but it was soft and seeping brake fluid out. I have to buy a complete hand brake unit for about 70 dollars from my local dealer. After looking for a while, these caught my attention, so I thought I'd give them a shot. To remove the one that was leaking, it took about 10 minutes. With just a small amount of heat from a heat gun, it will be simple to remove the old seal and ring. A wood clamp and glass seal were used to install the new glass seal and ring in the hole. Putting it in correctly will make sure that it automatically presses This is the right size if a dime fits inside the master cylinder hole. If a dime does not fit in the master cylinder hole then the 18mm lens will be good for you.
I have the OEM Honda Shadow 500 safety sightglass and it fits perfectly. No leaks, but I would not recommend using their method of installing it. My preferred method involves using a block of wood and a C-lock to secure the sight glass housing. Hold the door. Put the C at the beginning of the sentence You will be fine as long as you clamp as the rubber seal works great.
The process of installation is clear to me. I think the depth of the cylinder must have been incorrect, as when pressed in, the O ring grove of the master cylinder was completely crushed before the sight glass was even Using a standard master cylinder ensures that all parts are After I removed it and utilized the second glass I just needed to place the O ring in the hole and press the glass against it, and I am hopeful. That's all I have to say so far.
The product is not bad for the price, but a 5 star product is definitely not this one. Original review Exactly what I wanted it to do for my Honda Goldwing 86. If you are planning to install this one, make sure you remove all pieces of the old After you pry out the main glass, it's not unusual to leave the metal ring behind. We will have to see if these new glasses will cloud up and deteriorate as the old ones did, but I have a feeling that they will not.
On an 86 Honda Goldwing, I installed this on the original master cylinder.
In preparation for restoration, I tore down and bead blasted my master cylinder and was thrilled to find these replacement sight glass setups. I have not yet installed them, but they are a perfect press fit and should be very easy It sits behind an o ring and the o ring fits with perfect precision. I will buy from them.
Other than that, I believe they're exactly what they're supposed to be. The rubber boots fit well and do not leak even though I don't know how long they will last. I ordered the glass version because they said that if I wanted better ones I had to order the other version that is plastic. It was a pleasant surprise when I got them that they fit and work perfectly as I didn't know what to expect.
I was satisfied with the results. There was also an option of gluing This is exactly what I was looking for, and I am thrilled.
