I believe the temperature is around 250 degrees Fahrenheit

The O. D is approximately 3/4". Choose a clamp with a range of 34 to 1 inch.

Yes, I think so. It's rated for use with oil and transmissions, according to the manufacturer. I used a piece to replace a broken steel transmission line and left it in place for a while before replacing the lines. There will be no issues.
