As a machinist, I could tell right away when I took them out of the package that they were well-made low-cost items. Everything is made of carbon steel, duburred and all! After the skid plate/crossmember bolts on my 1993 Jeep YJ broke due to a transmission swap, I bought these to weld them into the frame. There's a lot of material to tack welds to, the threads were all clean, and they still had a thin coat of oil on them to keep them from rusting.
If you're looking at these, it's because you need weld on nuts for a project. Sure, you could just weld on a nut to save money, but if it'll be visible and you want a nice finished look, you'll need these. These are fantastic in terms of fit and finish, and they far exceeded my expectations.
on leveling feet or casters These were used because they were a perfect fit for the openings on the 1"x2" rectangular tubing, allowing for enough threads to support casters that could eventually hold a 90lb load. + planer.
These are my favorite things. Made with great care and consistency. br>br>I've tried a few different sizes and they're all great.
The machining is excellent, and the fit is perfect.
This is a great product that is built to last. It was a little on the expensive side, but it worked for me.
My roll bar is the perfect place to mount seatbelts.
