It's stiff enough to use under vacuum (there are metal rings to hold it in place), but as I worked with it, I found that stitching ripped a bit. I used it as a brake cooling duct on a car, but it's kinda fragile.

It is of excellent quality and fits perfectly.
This has been used on race cars for brake ducting, it is easy to bend and maneuver, and even serves as air ducting in the intake system. I would highly recommend it. Steel ribs provide the constriction with a very sturdy construction.
I really like this. This material was used to cover shocks on lowering struts for a Volkswagen.
It was delivered rapidly.
I think they feel very sturdy and durable. I will wait to see how well they will hold up on the track. It is likely to be a good outcome.
It is not true that it is good to 300 degrees. On an ATV I had it set up for an air intake, NOT near the exhaust pipe, but after 80 miles on the bike, the glue that held the inner layer and outer layer together let go, shutting off air flow. The wire is also very hard to trim short without leaving it hanging. I am not sure if it would work in a low-temperature environment, because it may not The temp reading where it was running was 190 degrees, not 300. I was disappointed when the temperature was listed as 300 For me, it was money down the drain.
