I was extremely disappointed. I have about 40 hours to go. Over the two months I've owned the fan, it appears that a bearing has failed, resulting in much higher friction in one position of the fan when it rotates to that spot (it no longer spins freely). If the fan shuts off in that position, it won't always turn back on unless you push it, which isn't a very practical option.
It's a fantastic fan that also happens to be a perfect fit. I installed this fan on my Kawasaki brute force 750 and it keeps the bike under 190 miles per hour.
The blades of this fan are well-designed and well-built - In terms of aerodynamics. The installation (in a vintage Jeep) was simple, and the fan's fittings allow for a variety of installation options. I've got it on a manual switch instead of a thermostat, and while I've tested it, the weather hasn't been warm enough for me to put it through its paces. However, from a practical standpoint, it appears that it will suffice in terms of cooling.
according to the description.
On my 2004 f-150, it works great as an extra A/C fan. 150 years of history. It's also quiet!.
Cooling the engine of the car is a fantastic idea!.
So far, it's been great, keeping the engine at the desired temperature. To me, it's not too loud.
This fan was purchased for my 1990 Toyota Supra's hood, which was getting a little hot. I wasn't sure if it would fit or do what I expected it to do. The fan fits perfectly in front of the condenser, as it turns out. The vehicle is much more comfortable to drive. Because every car is different, you'll need some experience installing this fan, but it should fit your 87-model. Oh, and the fan is fantastic on the 92 supra.
