Upon arrival, I see that what I have is a brass fitting, as my predecessor also noted. Any of the cheaper brass fittings available on the market would have been an option if I wanted a brass fitting. The listing has a lot of errors and is.
I used this with my oil catch tank, and it screwed onto the port without a hitch. Fit and finish are excellent.
Although the quality is excellent and surface finish is excellent, it did not fit the standard-size AN wrench. A small, adjustable aluminum wrench was necessary instead.
As stated on the product listing, the product received was aluminum fittings what was expected to be brass fittings. Despite that, it still seemed well made and a good item. I chose it for the reason that it had BRASS fittings, which I was looking for. Amazon shipped the wrong type of fitting to me! I was very disappointed! Returns have been extremely easy with Amazon, as they are always simple and easy. Upon first sight, the product appeared to be functional. It was packaged well and shipped efficiently. It has caused me to have an inconvenience and delay with my project as the mistaken type of item caused an inconvenience and delay. A brief update This has been corrected since the initial purchase and review was posted on Amazon. The image and description now read "ALUMINUM".
Fittings made of anodized aluminum are NOT acceptable for use in drinking water. Brass is used to make it. There are these on sale for $1 at Lowe's.
HE CAN RETURN TO YOU. Aluminum is not the material in question. Brass is used to make it. It's a scam that seller is trying to pull off.
This works for me.
The product is as described. It looks good and works well. The title says it all. As advertised, it appears to work and looks good.
