This is what I came up with. I'll update this in about a week, around July 16th, 2016. br>br>Let's start with a three-star rating. Using Amazon's vehicle selector, the description claims it fits a 1999 or 2001 vehicle. The number 8 is written on the box. From 1999 to the present. br>br>The rear comes from an exploder from 1999 or 2001. My jeep is equipped with it. The photo shows a few more seals than what came with and I am now a little worried about it fitting because I don t 100% know if it is from a 99 or 2001. If it had said they were different kits, I would have double-checked before buying. The same kit was shown for explorers with limited slip from 1999 to 2001. So, if it works, I'll update. The years, on the other hand, need to be more clearly defined.
It was a good kit, but I had to buy a new inner pinion bearing because the one that came with it was incorrect. They did, however, send the correct race. I had to order a replacement crush washer because the first one was defective. As a result, I had to spend an extra $35 on two replacement parts.
When I bought it, there was a 20% coupon as well. Except for the shims, which were not included, as other reviewers have stated. I used an 8 to install the bearings. My friend's TJ has an 8 out of a 1990s exploder or mountaineer axle.
Everything I needed to replace worn bearings on my truck was included in this kit, which was excellent. It's also of good quality. Without a doubt, I would purchase this product again.
It was successfully installed. I can't comment on functionality because the rest of the truck is currently disassembled.
Very complete set of high-end bearings with which I am very pleased.
I switched an 8 for a 9. Everything in this kit fit the diff and pinion great, the bearings were also top notch, and there was no noise. I put it in my 97 Trans Am after replacing all bearings and seals.
