It was simple to install and it was a good fit. My alternator was melting terminal clamps and causing a "check instruments" light to come on. The only caution I would recommend is that because this cable runs from positive to positive post, once one end is connected, the other end will be live.

The part that is square. The cable is identical to the one that came with the device. When I tightened the bolt on the battery terminal, the square part of the bolt stripped in the terminal; next time, I'll make one and crimp on the terminal of my choice; this has a very cheap terminal on it, but I had the same problem with the original. That's what led to a faulty connection and overcharging to the point where the original cb terminal melted. e, as well as the battery's post, were melted.
