Please give us an update. This is a well-made battery tray that is ideal for the builder. Looking at the photo on Amazon, it appeared to be exactly what I needed to reach the outer wall of my engine compartment on my 2005 4Runner in order to install a second deep cycle battery for the 150Watt solar system I'm mounting to the roof rack. However, the unit I received is not the same as the one pictured on Amazon, but rather a different model that is slightly less than 10" wide rather than 9 1/2 (no [problem-] It's better to be bigger: The issue is that the back plate is not solid all the way to the top as shown, but rather a 4" tall piece with holes that is 2" shorter than the solid back shown. Plus, it has a 7 1/16-inch lip on the end that will need to be cut off if your battery is wider. It appears that I'll have to do some cutting and welding to make it look like what was advertised and fit my 4Runner. Aside from that, if you have the tools and means to modify the design to look like the photo, it's a very nice and sturdy battery bracket. Instead of three stars, it would have gotten five.
Size and dimensions leave no wiggle room for bolts to hold down the battery, resulting in a 1/4 inch loss in width.
This thing was made for my battery project! I used a hacksaw to cut off the tabs on the top and spray painted it with several coats of paint. I couldn't have asked for a better situation! Advantages: br>br>

The product and the image on Amazon are not identical. The image has a solid pack, but the one I got had holes in it. Also, there is a lot less material on the sides. Furthermore, the measurements are a tad erroneous. Although the product is of good quality, the description and photographs are inadequate.
This item is extremely durable. My race car likes it a lot. There are no problems.
This box is made of mild steel and is welded together. When it comes to fitting it into odd spaces, you have a lot of options. To attach custom mounting brackets or to screw it to adjacent panels, drill through it wherever you want. I even used a torch to heat the "ears," bent them outward 90 degrees (parallel to the back panel), and drilled 1/4-inch holes in them. inch holes in each ear to secure the box to the back firewall The tie- The down bar secures the battery in the box, but the plastic battery housing is not at risk of warping. Be aware that if it is exposed to moisture, it will most likely rust. I gave it two coats of self-adhesive. To make sure I didn't have any issues, I primed the rattlecan red paint. Also, it appeared to be cooler in that position.
The box is 10" in diameter, so it gets four stars. It wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, but it was far superior. Because the box is actually 10" wide, and what I received looked a lot more like this picture, I gave it four stars.
Gloves for the water. Sand all of the edges. You're going to get cut! Very nice, but the edges are very sharp. Steel product that hasn't been finished. Put on your gloves and sand all of the edges!.
