Questions & Answers

How about the OX66 of 2001? Is the color the same?

I found it to be an excellent fit for my 2004 150HP four-stroke. I am not sure about the model you have.

The color of the 2018 300 horsepower will be the same as mine. What do you mean by using it on your lower ?

I'm sorry, have no idea. It is "unpredictable" how the color match will come out. Due to the way I used this product, I contacted Yamaha over the web, ordered the right color code and also did not receive the right item.

A fiberglass cowl needs to be primed. What is the best primer?

It will help level hairline cracks and nicks in fiberglass. Moeller Sandable Primer works on fiberglass, too. A watertight seal above the waterline is required.

Do I have to purchase a separate cowling for my F115TXR 2011?

My hunch is not true go to your local paint store and get them matched

I have a 1998 115 hp and this match is perfect
5/5

The color matches perfectly, and it applies evenly, but you need to apply a lot of very thin coats. Following the cure for a week, I also wet sanded the paint with 1500 grit and 3000 grit then followed by buffing compound and polishing compound, along with a new coat of carnauba wax and You painted it so well!.

Make sure you do your research before you buy or paint! For my 2003 Yami F90TLRB, there are actually two paint numbers
3/5

Yamaha ACC-D, which is what I have, seems to work well for my engine The MRNPA - A 4D color scheme is used for engine parts located inside (under the cover). Yamaha ACC-100 The MRNPA - For the exterior of the engine cover, 8D color is used. There was an error in the paint 4D purchase. In spite of the bad condition of the engine cover top, I painted it anyway after masking, sanding and priming. In the picture, you can see that after three coats it is not what the can says it is. I can, however, live with the rattle can paint job until a new color is chosen. A future purchase of the 8D version is in order.

Match made in heaven! It was a mistake for me to let my outboards sit in the river for almost two years
5/5

After I cleaned and sanded these jars, I used this paint to refinish It looks like they were just given to me! There is no difference in color or density between the two metals- It is the same for each flake. thrilled with the results, and I don't have to hide my face in shame when other people see my outboards tilted out of the water like they are supposed to.

This is a perfect match, everyone should buy it! This is an ideal Light coats are recommended
5/5

You'll notice it looks dull at first. You will get a glossy finish if you do more wet coats. I simply hand sanded the parts with 800 and 1000 grit and cleaned them with acetone for paint prep. After 15 minutes of sanding and painting, the project was complete. painting just a particular area, like I was (skeg), mark a line with painters tape where you want the paint to stop, and cover the area you are painting within one or two feet around the inside area. The process is really simple. There is no need for your boat to have a scuffed.

The color match is very good, the results are excellent
5/5

Make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully when you sand the surface. As the final sanding grit becomes finer, the results become better. Using 6 thin coats, I restored the cowling of my F25, and I am very pleased with the result. Before you buy, make sure the product has the correct color code.

Yamaha 25 HP 2 Cycle tractor, 1997

I am satisfied with the results of the painting. The paint matched the original factory color pretty well, there was some metal flake in it, but since it is in a can, I can live with it.

There is a bad color match

The two are completely unrelated. The dealer gave me this code, and it was given to me by Yamaha.
