Questions & Answers

Before I prime the headers, do I need to prime them?

Prior to painting, they recommend that you clean and degrease thoroughly. Despite my efforts to clean and degrease, I did not prime the oil. Thus far it has worked

What is the gasoline resistance of this product? A carburator would be the best application for it. ?

There is no gasoline resistance on this.

A rusty surface covers the bottom of my metal fire pit. Is it possible to spray this paint on metal after it has been prepared? There are no grills at the fire pit where food is cooked. ?

The high temperature paint can be used to paint the fire pit. Click on POR to go there The directions on the 15's website will walk you through the process of prepping the surface, applying the paint, and curing the paint.

What are the properties of this material if it is to be sprayed ?

In theory, it should work on a properly prepared surface.

You're the best
5/5

My favorite part of this product is how easy it is to use and how well it looks. I had trouble making my 10 year old stovetop look like new after it had been heavily used for a decade. It took a lot of work to keep it in place, but it turned out very nicely.

I am super happy with this product, it has a beautiful finish and sprayed well
5/5

The results were fantastic, and I'm very pleased with the outcome of my broilmaster painting. The pictures below show the before and after. There wasn't a bottom due to lack of time, but that's what the look was like. This project covered my grill well, took about 2 hours to paint, and did not drip at all. I've used 1200 degree rustoleum, and 900 degree caliper paint on other grills, and this one covered well and did not show stains or marks. Since this stuff is almost 25 dollars a can and I usually use two, I was a bit hesitant to get it at first, but I am eager to disassemble the bottom and get it painted. matches the original gray color well, and I like the satin finish. This is the closest paint to match the original gray color that I found on the web. There are no words to describe how happy I am.

This product applies perfectly even coats, gives a perfect sheen, and goes on like a powdercoat
5/5

A flat black can and a flat white can were ordered. Very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. The product sprays on very well and dries on very quickly with no wet feel like other spray paints, almost like a powder coat. The paint goes on like a spray paint, but I don't think it takes any water to apply. There are no drips or streaks on the product. In my opinion, there should be three layers at a temperature of 8°C As I've mentioned in my previous post, I blasted 10" away every hour and let it sit for 24 hours, then reassembled the grill and turned it on for two hours at 400F to cure, and it came out perfectly. You'll be pleased with the results if you follow the instructions carefully and take your time. It is rare that I post a review on an Amazon product, but I am extremely satisfied with this one. In reviewing the flat black finish, I would like to provide a small clarification. It is actually more of a satin finish with just a touch of shine. I was pleased with the color sample in the description, which in general is quite accurate to the actual results on the finished product. I felt that it was worth the $22ish I spent I have no idea what else to say about this product, but it is by far the best High Temp Paint I've ever used, compared to Rustoleum and etc. The Krylon brand. In my testing, no primer or prepping product from POR was used I used this spray paint on my old 2000's broilmaster grill. It has made it look like new once POR is surely something I will use in the future My next project is to fix up a rusty smoker and I'm going to make 15 again.

The finish is exactly as sandblasted aluminum would look
5/5

In the process of rebuilding a car engine, I used this stuff as a surface treatment to protect some parts from A covering for an oil cooler that I had sandblasted clean prior to undergoing POR was one I had to clean There was no discernible difference between the painted surface and the raw surface after sand blasting. In order to ensure the entire area would be covered, I applied several coats. It looks great, but paint, like any paint, cures better as the temperature drops. Add several multiples of the estimated dry time to ensure that it does. It has been raining on the east coast for the past few days. I hope the weather holds up.

Make sure everything is ready
4/5

Make sure water does not get near your home. Whenever your pipes need sanding, I can do it. During this time, try not to let any water in. The water apparently found its way on to it, and small bits of it boiled off. However, it does not burn off all of the way. Wire brushing my welds was the only prep I did. It was most important to me that the muffler be dark gray and the welds be The car was also cleaned up under the hood and some spots were touched up. An angle tip is located on the end of this can. The convenience of that.

This is an excellent choice for the I bought this paint about ten years ago and now I have To use it, I have a Ford F-150 The number of 350 is A diesel engine oil pan is shown in Figure 3
5/5

As a result, they rust heavily and by using this I have stopped them from rusting. It has lasted 10 years for me because I live in an area where salt is not used. I wire brushed the pan and cleaned it thoroughly with lacquer thinner, applied it in thin layers, let them dry between coats, and used it as directed. This application has a lot of good stuff. I give it two thumbs up!.

I like how easy it is to use and how even the coat is
5/5

Flakes off in an ineluctable manner. Spraying is even, the coat is even, and the coverage is good. As expected from the Por people, this is a good product. This product was used on newly installed exhaust parts. I cleaned the area and applied it.

I have had no problems so far
5/5

A new set of hooker super comp headers have been sand blasted. By blowing them off and hanging them in the shop I ensured that they would not rust. In general, one can of spray was needed per header (2 inch BBC primary), a third for touch ups and final sprays was required. The look is great, and the application was easy! Are you not sure how long it will last? Have not heated them yet since I have not gotten far enough on the build. So far, I have been extremely pleased with this product.
