The applicator looks like it would be an extremely useful tool. In fact, I won't be able to tell how it actually works until hell freezes over since I have to wait for my husband to use it to touch up paint on a vehicle we rarely use. Almost a year ago, I bought this item and it is still on my husband's workbench. It looks great there, though! Could be in 2020. I can't wait to see how it works.
I am no artist but I have some paint chips from the previous owner of a Summit White 2015 Chevy Silverado. For $20, it can't get any better than that. Time will tell how it stands up to the test.
It is truly an all-around product. Just one touch-up pen is needed. In place of the brush attached to this pen, I prefer using my own 00 or 000 artist brush. Despite that, I did find the abrasive tip useful. An angle of plastic stuck up around the edge of the paint chip when I got a small paint chip on the plastic front bumper from a rock. It was then possible to cover the chip with the touch up paint after using the abrasive tip to smooth down that rough edge. In addition, the pen includes GM factory clearcoat with a brush applicator, enabling a smooth application of the clearcoat. When you can get the real thing in this excellent all-weather formula, there's no reason to buy aftermarket touch up paint, especially when it's so close to the original GM paint.
