Since I bought a damaged pipe (Bassani RR) and only needed to cover the damage, I didn't use primer. After a year of use, the rust has started to show through, so I used CLR to touch I would sand better and use VHT Flame Proof primer, ceramic, and clear if I did it again. High-temperature VHT Flame Proof is able to withstand higher temperatures. The chrome was not painted by me. If you want it to stick, you will need all the tools you can get (sanding, primer).

Despite my best intentions, I couldn't ride for a couple of months due to a medical emergency, so my Indian Scout 2015 just sat there The chroming process that Indian uses leaves a lot to be desired, after I uncovered my bike. I found my crank case cover to be badly corroded on the front portion. It turned out superb with the Eastwood high temperature product (see photo). I sanded it smooth and used Eastwood's high temperature product.
The paint is easy to apply, has a quick drying time, and is of good quality.
This was used to cover the steel exhaust on my ductile steel truck and went on very easily.
The information we needed was right there.
Considering all the reviews, I should have read the terms and conditions, since the product is not satin black, but rather a deep, dark charcoal gray. In order to receive a refund from Eastwood, I have requested one. Black isn't available here, so don't look for it.
Despite the fact that these are supposed to be satin, the can says there is nothing at all satin about them. The paint is just as flat as the BBQ paint I had on hand, and then I have nothing to pay for.
I have used it on the air cooled Yamaha XJ600 Seca II exhaust. It has held up very well and looks great so far.
It would have been better if the spray nozzle had worked better, and I felt that the price was too high.
