Several years ago, I tried to paint a chair with a chair. It did not look good. The matching table was the only thing I had to paint, and I was able to use if perfectly.
they looked a little ok, but they didn't look great. Instead of using RIT dye, I chose RIT dye. Using a spray bottle, I microwaved some water until it started steaming, then combined everything in a spray bottle and sprayed away. Spray bottle will be hot, so be careful with it. Make sure carpet is clean and dry.
As far as I can tell, it is completely water resistant, I used it on some rubber tubing that was continually immersed in water for several weeks and it seemed not to be affected

The application provides excellent coverage and a bright red color that is very flexible. Sun faded outdoor furniture cushions can be salvaged using this solution. While it is more expensive than buying new cushions, it is more cost-effective. You can see pictures here.

It was hard to refrain from making a review because so many negatives have been noted. Use this product properly and it will be a great product. As a proper expression, I would like to say Prior to starting the painting, you have to strongly prepare the surfaces. Put a damp rag on top of your enamel reducer or lacquer thinner. TURPENTINE OR mineral spirits should not be used. Make sure that you go over it twice more after you think you have thoroughly cleaned it. Once you have shaken the can well, you can take a look at it. Spray the item so that it barely covers the item. This is when you'll discover that the product isn't paint at all, but rather a dye which slowly etching into the leather or vinyl. You can now spray another light coat after waiting 10 or 15 more minutes. Even though the item is not completely covered, it still should leave a gap. Another coat can be applied after waiting another 10 to 15 minutes. If you do not have full coverage, continue until you do. Let me now give you the most important part. The video came highly recommended on a You Tube channel. The finished product looks wonderful, and the process was easy and straightforward. As the cushions were extremely faded, I bought 6 cans of paint for $40 and used 4 of them. I didn't feel stiff at all. Now they look like new and feel like new. It states on the can that it is flexible, and you will need to squeeze the items after they have dried to soften them.
The finish is both highly durable and bonded.
I've tried it so far, and it's working! My Ranger had sun visors that I needed to color, so the flat black fabric paint came in handy. The following is a revised version We had the headliner replaced from the ugly sagging gray color with a nice black suede appearance. Aside from the grim gray color of the sun visors, the black headliner is an ugly contrast to the gray color. It is a product I found at an autoparts store so I thought I'd try it. It seems to be working as intended. Sun visors are something I don't use much, so I'm not sure how they will hold up, but what I can tell you is that the fabric has lost some of its softness. Since it was just black, as long as you don't do an excessive amount of coats, it should be fine. I did about 10 light coats on each side. I will update in a few days I figured that there was no way to get a glossy look with fabric, so that is why I chose flat black.
Thus, I chose to go with this and have not been disappointed in the least. I loved how this stuff worked! My initial plan had been to mask everything and then spread evenly throughout the carpet, but I ended up spraying about four I needed two bottles, but I bought three to be on the safe side. Since the carpets are now totally covered, nobody can see through them now. Looks like it was just installed! Any day of the week is fine with me. You shouldn't listen to a bad review, they're simply telling you what they've experienced. Even those who write negative reviews don't do it right most of the time.
