Questions & Answers

Does it need to be applied before waxing? Or can it be applied after waxing?

Almost no odor will remain after you use this sealant. It lasts longer than wax and is stronger than gels and waxes. With or without wax, Jetseal 109 looks great on its own. If you wish to top it with wax, you can do that as well. The best outcome will be achieved if you clay your vehicle and compound or polish it as necessary, followed by Put on a carefully thin coat and allow it to sit for 20 minutes before removing it.

How long does it take to use this product? Do I have to use a clay bar first?

It's impossible to give a solid answer because we have to inspect your car for any contaminants that would negatively impact your Touch the surface of your car after it has been washed, at least across the top, hood, and main side doors. Is it smooth? After washing, no rough spots are visible or you can feel grit. Shine a light on car panels, checking for Hard Water Spots or other defects that have become embedded in your paint finish or clear coat. Essentially, when you seal the finish of the car with a layer of Acrylic (which is precisely what a product like Jet Seal, or KLASSE does, etc. Plastic used in Klasse is the same acrylic polymer used in Plexiglass sheet plastic. The manufacturer told me personally in the early 80s) you DO NOT WANT TO OBTAIN THOSE CONTAMINANTS OR DEFECTS WHEN you apply a nice, shiny, clear coat If they are Defects then they are UNDER your new 'wax job'. For your information A minimum of two (2) applications of ANY product is required for 100% coverage, unless otherwise noted by the manufacturer. I apply my first coat manually, and the first coat goes from FRONT to BACK, with at least 50% overlap as I apply the product. A second coat is applied, covering 50% of the surface and applying product from SIDE to SIDE. NORTH - That's how it's called in painting A southerly direction, followed by an easterly direction As the result of the JET Seal is 100% coverage, WEST, regardless of the end result, should have this in mind. Is it a good idea to apply butter wet wax after jetsealing? Is it not stronger than wax, so there is no need for ?

If you were to apply Jet Seal, then apply Butter Wet Wax, you would want to start with the product that will offer the most protection. If you want to extend protection and add shine, then you should apply a wax like Butter Wet Wax. Jet Seal will give you up to 12 months of protection.

Is it possible to use this on vinyl wraps?

The wrap should be sealed with Chemical Guys Matte Seal if it is matte or satin. In any case, you can contact Chemical Guys directly and they can answer your questions. Paint protection films such as Xpel Ultimate can be protected with Jet Seal.

A RAINY DAY WILL LAST no longer than one day
3/5

The reviews that were submitted before yours are all respectable. Having been detailing cars for 15 years, I have experienced most of the Japanese and American waxes on the market. The buzz about the annual paint sealing wax convinced me to buy it to seal the paint on my brand new Nissan. The whole paint cleaner and clay bar process took me about an hour. adheres well to the skin and wipes off easily, as has been noted by all the commentators. While the finish turned out to be smooth, it doesn't give an exceptionally deep gloss (could be a But it doesn't repel rain, and only lasts for one rainy day and then it gets soaked. Two times I waxed it to see if the endurance would extend and did not see any effect. In this case, I returned the wax for a refund since I rarely return anything used. The use of this wax seemed to be a waste of money and time.

I am disappointed
3/5

That's about all I can say about this stuff. On the way to the shop, I will remove the jet seal and apply a nano ceramic coat. Chemical Guys' products are confusing, and it seems like there are three or four that do the same thing at the same time.

My heart really desired to love Jet seal, but alas, I don't
3/5

In my first foray into the world of paint sealants, I used Jet Seal. My expectations were high after reading a lot of positive reviews. With this product, I truly wanted to live. It is easy to apply, comes off easily, and looks great. There's nothing wrong with the stuff, but it doesn't last as long as If you use it regularly for a month or two, you will start to see the water drying out. It's Wolfgang's that I prefer It's about the same price, and it's just as easy to put on and remove, but Jet Seal is far superior to it in terms of both appearance and durability. As long as there is a bottle and a half left, I will continue to use it on my glass, light covers, and license plates, but once it runs out, I won't If you are looking for more performance for a fraction of the cost, try one of our Collinite products. The maximum duration of protection is three months) Be sure to let the sealant cure thoroughly before putting on wanted to go all the way, you could apply a third layer of Carnauba wax to your car for appearance (don't expect triple protection though). I am aware of this. Many will argue against the use of layering sealants/wax, but I've had success with it. BUT LET ME REMEDY YOUR MISTAKE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Although the manufacturers insist this product will last for one year, it doesn't last much longer in the elements than a month or two. Furthermore, the price is absurdly high compared to what you will receive.

This is a great sealant
5/5

It's a nice shine, there's nothing I can do about it. Using this product, which is cost and time effective, to seal paint after correction is something I have recently started doing. In my experience, it provides very good protection for about 4 months when it is put on my own car. Once this point is reached, it begins to lose Despite having better products out there for overall shine, I would highly recommend this product because it is relatively easy to use at a reasonable price.

It will likely ruin your day whether you try it or not

do not understand why CG is so rated highly? bought many products from CG because most of their products have good reviews so I bought this JetSeal as well. In my side by side testing, it failed to hold up as well as Butter Wet Wax. Wolfgang WG-28 and CG Jet Seal were the tools I used Comparing the clarity after applying 5500 Deep Gloss Paint Sealant with the clarity after applying the 7400 Clear Gloss Paint Sealant. When I first looked at the two, it was difficult to tell which was better. The time has come to wash my car two weeks later. Where can I find out more about you? The Jet Seal side has been stripped of all protection. The JetSeal did not cause any water to bead as if it had never been applied. A good water beading system still exists on the Wolfgang side. Wolfgang sealant may last up to six months, but I am not sure. As time goes on, we will know more. I know for a fact that JetSeal did not last 2 weeks, despite their claims that it can last up to a year. In general, Wolfgang products are a lot more expensive, but they are worth the investment. You can compare JetSeal with other paint sealants if you have the resources. But this is my opinion about This was a total waste of time and money on my part.

The process is too easy for a 13-year-old
5/5

It is my pleasure to inform you that I have recently purchased Since I've owned several black automobiles over the years, I am well aware of how difficult it can be to make them appear nice. I decided to give Jet Seal a try after reading the reviews here at Amazon. Following a thorough washing and drying of the car, it was time for the Jet Seal to be applied. As things became more interesting, things got more Then I let him loose on one side of the car, showing him how to do it. He dared me to put him in the back of the car to help me. It was easy to apply the Jet Seal with the microfiber applicators from Chemical Guys. It took less than 30 minutes for us to complete. By using microfiber towels with edgeless edges, we were able to remove it. Based on the results, I think they speak for themselves. Almost like a mirror, the surface of the car is smooth as glass. Having said that, now is the time to wait and see how well it will hold up against.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked
5/5

Since I started driving my new, black car in the Florida heat, I have developed a very strong dislike for the car's styling Then it rained, then it was hot and humid, plus salty air was present. I knew I should put some protection on the finish since it looked dirty all the time. In order to seal the paint on the car, I washed and dried the vehicle, applied compound/polish to minor swirl marks and bird dropping damage, then used CG's Black Light, and finally Jet Seal (by Right away, I noticed the slick, deep shine, and the way the paint felt. A cure overnight was performed on the car. It was foggy and misty as I drove to work this morning, and there were construction areas as well. I did not believe it at all when I got out of the car Not only was my car dry, but it was spotless as well. This is amazing! There were other cars in the parking lot to compare with, but mine was the only one that looked Several hours and more misty weather later, and you could see moisture sitting on the cars around mine. However, my car is not one of them! There's nothing better than this stuff! The process of reapplication is so easy I am not bothered by it. I anticipate reapplying every few months. This book is highly recommended! Here's how I do things - Wash/dry - We take care of the entire car washing, scratch removal, swirl removal, prep. It should be Meguiar's Ultimate Compound or Ultimate Polish with Gloss or Shine. The CG's Black Light Color Enhancer
Protect does all in one. This Jet Seal is the work of CG's.
