Don't handle anything until you've read and understood all of the safety precautions. The vapors should not be inhaled. Protect your eyes and face by wearing eye and face protection. When using this product, avoid eating, drinking, or smoking, and thoroughly wash your hands afterward. Work clothes that have been contaminated should not be worn outside the office. Lock up the store. Dispose of the contents and container in accordance with local regulations.
It's great to have something like this on hand. When I'm painting, I always forget to put on a pair of disposable nitrile or latex gloves, and then I'm annoyed with myself when I get paint on my hands. This is a great way to deal with the problem because I don't like soaking my skin in toxic solvents to remove the paint. I use a far less toxic removal tool, and then I simply wash off the residue with a good soap (I use Tweetmint for this). I am confident that this tube will last for years, and that it will be used frequently during that time.
The 3M hand cleaner works well for removing paint. It's also used by my son as a hand cleaner for engine oil/grease grime. For the amount of cleaner you get in this tube, it's quite pricey. It's most likely due to the California label. Lol.
Yes, it's pricey; I bought a tube about ten years ago and have been raving about how great it is ever since. I save it for the nastiest, most difficult jobs that require me to get my hands dirty. There isn't anything that this stuff doesn't get rid of. As a result, I finally purchased a new tube- I'm pleased to report that the formula has remained unchanged. Forget about GoJo and the rest of them- This is the best of them all!.
I was hesitant to purchase this because I work in the nail polish industry and occasionally polish gets on my hands; however, this product removed ALL of the polish from my skin, including what pure acetone couldn't! I'm so impressed with this product and grateful that it was recommended to me; I'll be telling everyone about it!.
Because I work with paints, this product cleans my hands better than anything else I've tried.
When all other detergents and scrubs have failed, this product comes to the rescue. It performs similarly to xylene or acetone, but is much gentler on the skin (although it will attack many plastics - see below). so keep an eye on where you put it). Scrubbing off paint, glues, and other residue from equipment and tools is also a breeze.
