The following steps were followed An old Scottish whisky is wet— I used my brite pad to clean my steel dash panel, and it came clean in no time, thanks a lot , - The scuff mark was applied in one pass, and the grease was completely removed. It does not have a bit of shiny paint on it. As soon as the part had been dried fully, it was ready to I did not expose myself to Methylene Chloride, brake cleaner, naphtha, etc. because of the speed and the low temperatures.
This is the first time I've used something like this. The 3M Scotch pads worked nicely with this and I used them for scratching up my son's power wheels. Sanding wet was a breeze with this tool. The market for this product has grown tremendously in the last few years. A great product. My only concern is that the label stated "may cause cancer," but didn't clarify what kind of cancer it could cause. How do you inhale skin? Do you touch the skin or do you inhale air? In any case. I like it and it does exactly what I want.
This seems to work as intended. I love how it smells.
The combination of this stuff and the grey scuff pads from 3M is fantastic. Distiller water will keep contaminants off the panels, and a Terry towel can be used as a wipe. After cleaning, blow the water off to dry and use a tack cloth to wipe the surface. As this removes wax and grease, there is no need to reclean afterward. Just paint and let dry.
Another one of 3M's excellent products. When you work on your own body work, this is a necessity. Prepares the panel for paint and clear coat.
The orange-scented liquid is great for scuffing plastic fairings to prepare them for painting (with a grey Scotch bright on top). It also keeps the static at bay and is very clean. This is a bit more expensive than I expected.
I sanded for days without getting the flatting I wanted and the closer I came to purchasing this product, the more I wish I had purchased.
A very important part of painting is the prep work!.
