No, you don't put that in your air filter; however, I do use it for diesel.

It's a Briggs and Stratton engine, but it's difficult to start in the winter. As a result, I simply open the air filter cover and spray the filter with ether before closing it. With just one pull, the engine always starts up smoothly. It's far preferable to fiddling with the engine's choke and repeatedly pulling the starter cord. It's the ether that does the job, and I'd say that any brand of starting fluid would suffice.
This product is a little more expensive than cheaper brands, but it is more potent and does what it claims to do. My old 1965 Chevy motor wouldn't start, so I squirted a couple of squirts of this stuff in it and it roared to life, and we went for an hour ride without any problems!.
This item was unusable because it did not come with a spray cap. I looked through my other household items to see if I could reuse a cap from another can, but none of them appear to fit. Money down the drain because the item is not returnable or refundable. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and the lack of customer service that comes with it.
I started a Tecumseh H30 engine that had been sitting for three years with old gas in it.
Wow!.
