It makes a huge difference right away
5/5

I took about 15 minutes to get it all to work in, but manual shifting is much smoother now than when I first started. The Nissan Sentra S manual transmission I own was manufactured in 2012. As I read in a couple of forums, to remove the plastic wing nut fill cap first and take your finger out, feel for volume, I felt none, which led me to believe that the fluid level was quite Two days prior, I had sprayed WD40 on my drain plug to prevent hard time in removing it, and I found it to be very easy to remove. The Qt was drained in a little more than one, maybe one. There was no doubt that it was In order to make fill plug work, I put drain plug back on and used a clear tube from a fish tank siphon gravel cleaner, attached it to a funnel and fed one end into the As soon as I noticed the hole was starting to leak, I put in as close to 2 Qt as I could. As soon as I put it back together, I went for a drive and I was truly It is stated in the Nissan user manual that The following 80 GL are assigned. Lastly, FYI, I was annoyed with the recessed square for the drain plug, which led me to believe a 3/8 would fit but it doesn't, and even stupid Nissan told me it was a As it turns out, it's an 8mm square socket which I bought here along with a 10mm socket Nobody around knew what the hell I was talking about, so I could not find it anywhere.

There isn't much difference between Amsoil Synchromesh and this
4/5

Therefore, Redline MTL is deemed to be the best gear oil to use in the NV3550 transmission of the Jeep Wrangler TJ. This Redline oil replaces the Amsoil Synchromesh gear oil I had been using. There is little difference in performance between Amsoil and these synthetic oils. I replaced the Amsoil engine with the aforementioned one and it shifts smoothly and grinds just like the original one. I would recommend that if the Amsoil can be purchased locally, you should do that instead of ordering it online and waiting for this Redline MTL to arrive. It is marginally different in terms of performance between the two. Buying whatever is cheaper and more accessible is the best option. It's your call. The Jeep TJ from 2004. Doesn't take more than two. Buy 3 bottles of eau de vie to top it.

It might not be a good idea to try this at home
3/5

A hydraulic transmission in my over 200k mile 2002 Camry manual transaxle was shifting notchy (like a Mack truck) when using original fluid (due to a little clutch drag), so I switched to synthetic ATF and it began shifting smoother. Plans to switch to this high priced red line fluid, but some Honda owners switched to this and they discovered that the transmission no longer shifted as slick as it used to with Honda Since then, I have never looked back, and I only use Honda MTF because it is half the price of this overpriced fluid. I had no problems during the next 100,000 miles. I also find the fuel mileage to be exceptional since the oil is thinner than original Toyota Had I thought of it, I probably would have used tractor hytran fluid, since it falls somewhere in the middle of the range. There are 368k miles on the car now, most of the seals are intact, so evidently it doesn't care about what it's filled with, just throw some oil in it. The Red Line MTL is probably a good choice for racing and applications that demand a lot of power.

There is a noticeable difference, not just placebo effect The product received many positive reviews, so I decided to give it a try
5/5

My experience with Royal Purple and Red Line in other vehicles has been very successful, but Honda is pretty rigid about using only its According to some reviews here on Amazon, the Red Line helps, whereas others say it doesn't compare to This fluid makes a noticeable difference in my 2001 Honda Prelude, so I'm here to recommend it to those with older Hondas. In fact, I had just changed the fluid 6 months ago, so that Honda MTF was However, I was eager to see if this would improve it, and I am happy to say that As the shift lever comes in and out of gear more smoothly and easily, shifting is even more enjoyable. After the car sat outside all night in temperatures as low as 40 degrees, I drove in the early morning in that weather. When cold like any fluid, the Honda MTF is stiff, but as the car heated up it smoothed out a bit. In summary, I think this product has made a noticeable difference in my 2001 Honda Accord. I find it to be a very subtle, but noticeable improvement.

I have never gotten better results for my car with any other chemicals! I can't say enough good things about this product! My passion for sports cars dates back 30 years, and during that time I've owned many performance cars, worked in the automotive industry for 20 years, and collected numerous cars
5/5

The gear oil did just what I expected it to do in my situation, and I used to live by the rule that there is no chemical solution for a mechanical problem. Just over a year ago, I bought a Honda Civic Si to have something sporty in town and also be reliable (Honda A Honda service bulletin recommended replacing the transmission synchronizer, which would require around 12 hours of labor. The third gear synchronizers in these cars were notorious for failures, and there was actually a service bulletin from Honda who recommended it. My vehicles have always used synthetic oil, and after researching gear oil, I came across Red Line, and also read some reviews stating that other owners' problems with the 3rd gear were resolved using this product. Anyway, I did give it a shot, and it solved the problem exactly! The first time I have used synthetic gear oil in a transmission is also the first time I have used it, and I can truly say that I could not be happier with the difference when shifting between With the exception of the 3rd gear issue in the Honda 6 speed, I had no problems before changing the fluid, and there was only a slight amount of resistance during gear shifting. The resistance to the change is almost nonexistent after the change! It's smooth as silk now when shifting gears. Red Line is a great product to recommend to any car enthusiast, but even though it did resolve my synchronizer issues, it is not a guarantee for fixing all transmission issues. After I replace the manual transmission fluid in my 525 horsepower muscle car with Red Line, I'll be looking for new brake fluid.

I enjoyed it a lot
4/5

I want to share my tip with you all. I enjoyed it a lot. It is my recommendation to all of you that whenever you hear a transmission sound, change the fluid before you put down that $1000+ material. Got this for my Mazda 3 MPS gen2 (the manual calls for 75W80, GL4) -- it matches what I have in my garage. When the clutch is engaged, I experience a rattling sound in neutral (especially when the AC is on or the engine is low revving). My dealership replaced the clutch and flywheel under warranty and that didn't help the vehicle at all. We went to a transmission shop, no problem was found (none of the bearings are faulty). After doing some research online, I decided to give this (trans fluid change) a try. The engine is far quieter now since I installed a performance clutch and lightweight flywheel. It rattles at low revs after it warms up (and some when the air conditioner runs), but now it is much quieter.
